Basic question: How do you restore warped discs back to their original shape?
Was just reading about storing discs, and someone asked about how to restore the shape of warped discs...I have a few boxes of discs stored away, and know I stored them one on top of the other...not on their edges. From my understanding, the results are going to be many, many warped discs.
I would appreciate any input on successful ways to restore their shape, for when I, or anyone else in the same situation, finally dig them out?
Thanks - Brandon

If you have some warped DX Rancho Rocs, I want them.

This was the advice given to me on the discgolfreview.com boards by ZAMson, it worked pretty good at no risk to damaging the plastic. some people put the discs in a bowl of water for 30 seconds in the microwave then try to bend it back into shape, but this can damage the disc. This advice seemed the most sensible and worked for some of my discs that were storage warped:
the method that's least likely to put your disc into some unnatural shape (too flat, too domey, overall squashed or melted) is easy and slow:
set em in the sun on a flat surface ... leave them there all day. let them cool there overnight. if they aren't back to their original form in the morning, do it again. slow heating gets the plastic loosened up, and slow cooling lets it settle back into the form it was molded to be.
storage... the best way to store them without warpage is a perfect vertical stack, with the largest diameters on bottom, followed by drivers, and putters on top ... putters are most likely to shift. think jenga. a leaning stack causes warpage. (the factory and warehouses store discs boxed tight in vertical stacks, not horizontal) horizontal is okay if they're padded so that they stay upright... leaning rows will warp.
excellent disc storage containers: sterilite 20qt. tubs, $3 at walmart etc. they fit discs well (horizontally & vertically & mixed) and stack well, and it's a manageable size for organization, plus they're clear. about 20 discs per tub.

no disrespect...thanks for the input...but is there any other suggestions besides the "warm to cold idea"...
Anyone from Innova or Discraft etc...?
