I'm really shocked that there hasn't been an insane amount of buzz on here about the highly collectible, very limited production 150 class Star & Champion San Marino Rocs that were announced last week.
I know they went on sale on Friday morning and I bought a large variety of them. I think I got just about one of every option. I look forward to throwing a few before June rolls around. Also, it would be even more sweet if I was picked and my plane ticket was paid for when I head to Japan this year.
Anyway, in case you missed it here is what is part of the official announcement:

Japan Open 08 San Marino Rocs
Innova Champion Discs re-releases this classic mold with a final offering of the last in a series of discs benefiting the 2008 Japan Open. We will offer 421 Star and Champion San Marino Rocs with 12 different foil configurations stamped with 2 classic Japan Open designs. Every disc purchased earns the buyer a chance at a free round trip plane ticket to the 2008 Japan Open! Look within for additional information. The Japan Open is a United States Disc Golf Championship qualifier.
I don't know just how many are left but I'm guessing not many. Hero Disc USA (http://www.herodiscusa.com/)

Duh,
Just put my name down on the forms when you send them in:) If we track it back to being your filled out form versus mine then we'll work out a deal!

How do these discs fly? I haven't thrown any 150 class rocs, but I was able to get five of them Thursday, a couple star and champion with the tree stamp. rWc3523

I was one of those folks who never "got it" about Rocs until I started throwing 150g Champion/Star Rocs. For my money, for arms with less than knuckle dragger strength, but a smooth release they fly just pretty much like they're heavier relatives. They've got me experimenting with 160'ish DX Rocs which I'm also loving.

If these "San Marino" 150g discs fly anything like the heavy DX San Marino's, your gonna want some of these discs! I was throwing my 180g Orange DX San Marino all weekend, and this is a fantastic Roc mold. In fact, I think it might be my new favorite. I didn't even touch the 10x KC's I had in my bag this weekend ... I just couldn't stop grabbing the San Marino and throwing it.

You do not get forms to fill out. When the Japan Open discs are purchased, the buyer information is automatically recorded for the airfare drawing.

So does that mean that everyone that bought a roc to support the event is entered or is that only for the Archer rocs? I got two champions and I am loviong them. One is in the bag and the other on the wall. They are dead straight and suprisingly stable for such a light disc.

Thanks, Shaine! I'm looking forward to throwing one! rWc3523

Thanks Chris!
The black Star and Champion discs look so much alike and even the Star even has some translucent areas when held up to a good light source, just not as much as champion.:p

This disc flies wonderfully very straight even as the 150 version but its not worth losing it or damaging it so its going on the wall after 2 throws.
