So this is part curiosity and part market study. My brother and I have come up with a studry, low cost portable practice basket solution. For a lot of disc golfers, money is a big issue, but we don't think that shouldn't be keeping you from having something to practice putting on, or maybe to teach some friends how to play on. Granted, they aren't competition type durability or catching capability, but these could certainly benefit your game, and they wouldn't cost anything near the price of a big metal discatcher. So, hypothetically, would you consider purchasing a well made PVC basket rather than (or in addition to) a manufacturer's basket if you could get one for $65ish... or a nice mini basket to kill time in your office for as little as $30ish? LIke I said, we are trying to asses if there is enough of a market to try doing this. Thanks for your time.
