When is chandler going to open?]
Man, Furdog, I have never seen so many canceled mini's...what is up with that?
I have heard that the park was going to let us in, but you said no?
Why?
How are you going to do payout at this event?
Is there a cap?
What do I get for my 35 bucks in advanced?
Why were you not at the Riverside mini last night? Too far away from your house? Or you couldn't navigate yourself out of the moose lodge?

<font color="red">Why are you so concerned?...You always trash that course for Mohawk anyway. </font>
Man, Furdog, I have never seen so many canceled mini's...what is up with that?
<font color="red">I didn't see you step up to run a mini at Dovillio when I told you I had to cancell! Can you actually do one all by yourself? </font>
I have heard that the park was going to let us in, but you said no?
<font color="red">When you park your head so close to your rear, you're going to hear a lot of "hearsay". </font>
Why?
<font color="red">I'm hairy high and low. Don't ask me why. </font>
<font color="pink">Cause he don't know!!!! </font> :)
How are you going to do payout at this event?
<font color="red">Well I was secretly going to create a major DG coo amoungst all the TDSA TD's and pay all the Ams with CASH so I didn't have to mess with baggin a bunch of plastic but now that you've drug it out of me and everybody who reads this will know, I guess it's back to the same old standard. </font> :(
Is there a cap?
<font color="red">Has there ever been a "cap" before? </font>
What do I get for my 35 bucks in advanced?
<font color="red">A nice color tournament stamped disc, middle of the pack finish, and mid-night backdoor visit in your tent from Dave at no extra cost. Probably won't be a virgin experience for you though. </font> :o
Why were you not at the Riverside mini last night? Too far away from your house? Or you couldn't navigate yourself out of the moose lodge?

Why not?
Then lets talk about your Certified Official skills. :o
"Official Status" is not quite what you are making it out to be Wise...
They send you a blank test and you use your rulebook to figure out the situations...it is really more a test of whether you can read or not...
That is why Furdog has had so much trouble getting certified... :o
The test, in no way, judges your temperament in a round, nor does it ensure that you will not break rules...
We are all only human...
Had I not mentioned you and Devan being OB on hole 11 at the McClure Dovillio Spring Fling you would have misplayed the course and cost yourself more strokes...
Mr. Perfect... :D

Mar 12 2008, 12:36 PM

<font color="red">Ok, well maybe you're right. I asked your dad if either of you wanted Thursday's and he took the 27th at the river and probably made the decision for you because even with the extended hour of daylight you probably would be finishing in the dark at Dovillio. </font>
And speaking of running an event by yourself, I don't think you have ever done that either...
<font color="red">I didn't say "event", I said mini. No one can run a big event all by themselves. </font>
I remember a few nice guys helping you bag payout on SUNDAY before awards...
<font color="red">Yes, very SUPER nice guys and thank you very much. Would you mind helping me get it done on Saturday this year so I can relax, party, jam, and make merry on Saturday night? I'm getting ready to order for CS and I could use some advice or estimate on the number of discs and types to get. </font>

I heard there were hundreds of trees down and hole one is any easy hyzer shot...

Mar 13 2008, 03:28 PM
Chandler stock preview will be spring fling #6
on the old course. we will all get to see the deforestation together. just remember everyone is on the same course at the same time so the playing field is level no mater how hard or easy it is.
sschumacher
Mar 13 2008, 03:49 PM
Mainly ....
# 1) The first tree closest to the tee pad......Gone!!!! It's basically a straight shot now. But for those that can't throw straight, side arm for righties.
# 3) Three or four big trees around the basket.....Gone!!!! No more having to hyzer it in from right to left.
There is about a 35 foot ash pile behind # 12 pad west of the mound. That will probably still be there on the 6th because Standingbear said it will probably take a week for it to cool down. If not, the I'm going to put a basket on top of it and call it the "Volcano".
Other notes,
The new rec center is coming in this summer and they are also adding a new lagoon. The lagoon is for the park septic system and will have a fence around it. If you throw into it consider that disc gone unless you want to go wading in septic water. :(
We will probably not only lose # 14 & 15 but look for 16 & 17 to be gone too or at least in a different location. Might as well add # 13 to that also.
The existing original course will re-designed this summer whether we like it or not. Standingbear did show me a overhead map of some of the other places in the park that we can go so it should be interesting. Look for # 11 to become the new # 1.
The new nine will have to wait a little while so we can take care of the existing first. I'll try to put some next to a cliff so all you long arms might want to bring your repelling equipment. As for you little Red, .....once your in there we're just going to keep a pile of dirt close by so we can cover you up. :D
One good thing for CS is there should still be plenty of wood still lying around for the firepit. /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

just remember everyone is on the same course at the same time so the playing field is level no mater how hard or easy it is.
For the Pro's and Advanced, getting any easier than Chandler is ratings suicide...
Chandler with fewer trees means that in the upper division there is a higher percentage of holes that *must* be birdied, unlike lower divisions where only a few are able to throw the shots needed.
Meaning that Adv. and Pro scores should plummet, while other divisions will also see a drop in average score per hole, it will not be near that of the upper divisions...
Not that it matters since it is nonsactioned...but it still matters for the future.
...in case any cat lovers want to actually hold some sanctioned action out there....
Martin_Norris
Mar 13 2008, 06:24 PM
we shall see how bad a birdie fest it is on April 6th.
I have beaten advanced players on that course before because they failed to gear down their game for the shorter holes an threw themselves into trouble.
As with any event when everyone plays the same course all things are equal except the person's own game. Level field = level chances.

...in case any cat lovers want to actually hold some sanctioned action out there....
Well buddy you are welcome to STAY HOME if an unsanctioned event is such a bad deal. :p
Don't worry about helping bag payout because I think there are enough qualified people out there to help me get that done.
Everything else around here has been sanctioned so what's the big deal about CS being unsanctioned?
Is it wrong for people to save the $2 Pdga per player fee?
What about not having to pay the new $10 non-member fee for people that just want to play for fun?
What about being able to drink a beer while you play or what ever it is you do to grow your carrot top?
What about having mullies to take an extra shot at a big ace pot? :o
Hey and guess what?....You could actually try your hand at playing pro instead of advanced. :o

Not every one outside of me has it out for you. :o
He was simply stating that if Chandler wasn't a ratings killer before it **** sure will be now. Just like Riverside has always been a ratings killer. Thats what duece or die courses do for you.
Just chill out! It only really effects those he was talking about, which would be players with ratings over, say 930 to 950 or higher. I know thats hard for you (http://pdga.com/tournament/playerstats.php?PDGANum=24527) to understand but it IS a fact. :p

The first day, which officially began at 5:08 p.m. with Richie Havens, featured folk artists.
Richie Havens (opened the festival - performed 7 encores)
Swami Satchidananda - gave the invocation for the festival
Country Joe McDonald, played separate set from his band, The Fish
John Sebastian
Sweetwater
Incredible String Band
Bert Sommer
Tim Hardin, an hour-long set
Ravi Shankar, with a 5-song set, played through the rain
Melanie
Arlo Guthrie--order of set list unknown

Day 2 opened at 12:15 pm, and featured some of the event's biggest psychedelic and guitar rock headliners.
Quill, forty minute set of four songs
Keef Hartley Band
Santana
Canned Heat
Mountain, hour-long set including Jack Bruce's "Theme For An Imaginary Western"
Janis Joplin (Performed two encores: Piece of My Heart and Ball & Chain)
Sly & the Family Stone started at 1:30 am (3 encores. Actually played just before The Who)
Grateful Dead
Grateful Dead's performance was plagued by technical problems, including a faulty electrical ground and members Jerry Garcia and Bob Weir reported getting shocked every time they touched their guitars. Band performance footage was not included in the movie but Jerry Garcia appears in the beginning of the film holding a joint, saying: "Marijuana. Exhibit A."
Creedence Clearwater Revival
The Who began at 4 AM, kicking off a 25-song set including Tommy
Jefferson Airplane began at 6 a.m. with an eight-song set, capping off the overnight marathon. (Grace Slick greeted the audience with, "Alright friends you have seen the heavy groups; now you will see morning maniac music, believe me, yeah. It's a new dawn... [...] Good morning people!")
Joe Cocker was the first act on the last officially booked day (Sunday); he opened up the day's events at 2 PM. His set was preceded by at least two unidentified instrumentals by The Grease Band.
Joe Cocker
After Joe Cocker's set, a storm disrupted the events for several hours.
Country Joe and the Fish resumed the concert around 6 p.m.
Ten Years After
The Band - Set list confirmed via Levon Helm's book "This Wheel's On Fire"
Blood, Sweat & Tears ushered in the midnight hour with five songs.
Johnny Winter featuring Edgar Winter, his brother, on two songs.
Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young began around 3 a.m. with separate acoustic and electric sets.
Paul Butterfield Blues Band
Sha-Na-Na
Jimi Hendrix after being introduced as the 'Jimi Hendrix Experience' corrected this new group's name to 'Gypsy Sun and Rainbows'. The full list of Hendrix's Woodstock performance:
Neil Young joined Crosby, Stills & Nash, but refused to be filmed; by his own report, Young felt the filming was distracting both performers and audience from the music. Young's "Sea of Madness," heard on the album, was actually recorded a month after the festival at the Fillmore East dance hall.

Cancelled appearances:
The Jeff Beck Group was scheduled to perform at Woodstock, but failed to make an appearance because the band broke up the week before.
Iron Butterfly was stuck at an airport, and their manager demanded helicopters and special arrangements just for them. They were wired back and told, as impolitely as Western Union would allow, "to get lost", but in other words.
Joni Mitchell was slated to perform, but her agent informed her that it was more important that she appear on "The Dick Cavett Show" on Monday, with its national audience, rather than "sit around in a field with 500 people" Ironically, David Crosby & Stephen Stills as well as Jefferson Airplane (who all performed at the festival) also made it to the Cavett show. It was believed to have something to do with her breakdown at the Atlantic City Pop Festival two weeks before where she exited the stage in the middle of her third song crying because of the fans not listening to her sing. Though Mitchell was not present, she wrote and recorded the song "Woodstock" that was also a major hit for Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young.
Canadian band Lighthouse was originally scheduled to play at Woodstock, but in the end they decided not to, fearing that it would be a bad scene. Later, several members of the group would say that they regretted the decision.
Refused invitations
The promoters contacted John Lennon, requesting The Beatles to perform. Lennon said that he couldn't get the Beatles, but offered to play with his Plastic Ono Band. The promoters turned him down.
Procol Harum were invited to perform but reportedly declined due to the festival happening at the end of a long tour, and because of the impending birth of Robin Trower's child; The band elected to pass on the festival to be back in England for the birth. The child arrived two weeks late.
The Doors were considered as a potential performing band, but cancelled at the last moment. Contrary to popular belief, this occurrence was not related in some fashion to lead singer Jim Morrison's arrest for indecent exposure while performing earlier that year; the cancellation was most likely due to Morrison's known and vocal distaste for performing in large outdoor venues. There also was a widely spread legend that Morrison, in a fit of paranoia, was fearful that someone would take a shot at him while he was onstage. Drummer John Densmore attended; in the film, he can be seen on the side of the stage during Joe Cocker's set.
Led Zeppelin was asked to perform, their manager Peter Grant stating: "We were asked to do Woodstock and Atlantic were very keen, and so was our US promoter, Frank Barsalona. I said no because at Woodstock we'd have just been another band on the bill."
Jethro Tull refused to perform; there are varying accounts of the reasons for this decision. One claim is that they thought it wouldn't be a big deal. Ian Anderson is reported to have said he "didn't want to spend [his] weekend in a field of unwashed hippies". Another theory proposes that the band felt the event would be "too big a deal" and might kill their career before it started.
The Moody Blues declined to perform, because they were booked for another event in Paris at the same time and decided to play there instead of Woodstock, a decision they later regretted. They were promoted as being a performer on the third day on early posters that listed the site as Wallkill.
Tommy James and the Shondells declined an invitation. Lead singer Tommy James stated later: "We could have just kicked ourselves. We were in Hawaii, and my secretary called and said, 'Yeah, listen, there's this pig farmer in upstate New York that wants you to play in his field.' That's how it was put to me. So we passed, and we realized what we'd missed a couple of days later."
The Clarence White-era Byrds were given an opportunity to play, but refused to do so but they did perform at the Atlantic City Pop Festival held August 1,2 & 3, 1969, two weeks before Woodstock.
Paul Revere & The Raiders declined to perform.
Bob Dylan was in negotiations to play, but pulled out when his son became ill. He also was unhappy about the number of hippies piling up outside his house near the originally planned site. He would go on to perform at the Isle of Wight Festival two weeks later. At the June 30, 1997 concert at Bethel Woods, the original site of the Woodstock festival, Dylan joked (just before he performed 'All Along the Watchtower' - a song associated with Jimi Hendrix but written by Dylan) "It's nice to be back here. Last time we played here, it was six in the morning. And it was a-raining. And there was mud in the field."
Frank Zappa and The Mothers of Invention Quote: "A lot of mud at Woodstock. We were invited to play there, we turned it down."
Free were asked to perform and declined.
Spirit were asked to perform but declined and went on a promotional tour.

The story of how Naegele got the nick name cupcake. :D
While playing golf in the Chandler woods Steve came upon another man hugging a tree with his ear firmly against the tree. Seeing this he inquired, "Just out of curiosity, what the heck are you doing?
"I'm listening to the music of the tree," the other man replied.
"You gotta be kiddin' me, said Steve."
"No, would you like to give it a try?"
Understandably curious, Steve says, "Well, OK..." So he wrapped his arms around the tree and pressed his ear up against it. Then the other guy, slapped a pair of handcuffs on him, took his wallet, Disc bag and car keys, then stripped him naked and left.
Two hours later another disc golfer strolled by, saw Steve handcuffed to the tree stark naked, and asked, "What the hell happened to you?"
Steve told the guy the whole terrible story about how he got there. When he finished telling his story, the other guy shook his head in sympathy, walked around behind him, kissed him gently behind the ear and said, "This just isn't gonna be your day, is it, Cupcake?"

The Tournament Stamped Discs are In and They are FURTASTIC!!!!!:)
I love color stamps!!! :)
I can't tell you too much about them other than they are the 2nd in a series and very collectable. I only have a few left from last year if anyone didn't get one.
I will tell you that the Moose has returned and is loose once again. The mystic hoofer himself appears on this years disc and needless to say Lil'moose is staking her claim and it may be hard to rip one out of her greedy little hoofs.
First 100 to register get one along with some other cool stuff. Sorry no online reg for this one so get there asap and register Friday night if possible. There should be some left on Saturday morning but don't wait till the last minute or you could find yourself loose without a moose. ;)

Arse kicked?
When did that happen?
Maybe we have different definitions of what and arse kicking is.
I think my 213 at Duncan to your 237 is an arse kicking.
Not Travis's 209 to my 213.
Travis gave me a good 6 stroke swat, not an arse kicking.
My 24 stroke victory over you is more of a rape... /msgboard/images/graemlins/ooo.gif :o

Barney Treat. If you're planning on being Twoputt's deputy this year you might want to beef up a little and you can't enforce anything from a hotel room. Your no-show at Chandler last weekend makes me wonder if you can handle your duties of tournament security when a big bad bully like Big Dave is around. :o
You better let Twoputt handle it and I'll put you on the Little Dave's card. /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Dave camped at his own house on Friday night...that has to count for something...
Besides, I think camping helps you out, not sleeping in the hotel.
I just want to mention that my scores also reflect that this was my first time to Duncan, as opposed to Travis's third. I don't know how many times Wise has played but I know it wasn't his first time!

And on another note...
Travis has also selectivley denied me his custom disc golfer workout...

I wasn't trying to challenge you. You're the one that threw out a challenge against someone that KICKED your ARSE! :o
And you should be so proud of beating someone more than twice your age. :p
As for your Duncan performance, it is Skewed. Yes Trav may have beat you by 6 but had you camped like the rest of the PLAYERS, he would have beat you by 15. :o:D
I'm still ashamed of you that for your first Duncan tournament, you stayed in a hotel. :(
I understand your Dad staying there, he has earned that right in life at his age, but YOU?

Thanks Danielle. Hopefully you meant to say April 18th instead of April 11 which is today. ;)
HQ will once again be at shelter 2, same as last year.
Currently the camping area behind the mound is closed off to motor vehicles. There are still hanging tree limbs that the parks department hasn't got to yet. The reason I bring this up is because I know a lot of people tend to camp there.
I'm going to find out if the road back there will be open or not in time for CS. If not, I'll see if they will do an exception for us only. I just want everyone to know that we own all three shelters for the weekend. I would like to recommend to everyone to do not hesitate to camp at shelter 3 (by hole # 1). Having a large contention of DG'ers there will discourage other non-DG groups from trying to move into that shelter. There is also and AC hook up there. :)
As far as I'm concerned, I don't care if people camp in the middle of a fairway. /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif....Just don't complain when a disc comes flying thru your tent at 3am. :D

This is good to know. We always camp close to this, but had no idea that we were actually entitled. May have to move a little closer than usual.

Apr 11 2008, 12:57 PM
That right buddy. Move on in there and take it over and tell everyone you know. It will discourage non-tournament casuals from parking there also. I don't speak spanish and I don't want to hear any spanish music coming from that area if you know what I mean. /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif.....Let's show them that old hippies rule and classic rock will never die.
Right now the road left of the mound and the road behind the mound is barricated and from what Standingbear just told me, more than likely will still be come tournament time.
This cuts off vehicle access to the camping area by hole 10 which has normally been where the OKC animals camp. Standingbear said they might be able to move the barricade back just east of the mound but that means you might have to park short of the area and walk in.
They don't seem to have a problem with people camping there but they discourage it because they don't want a hangin tree limb to fall on someone's car or tent. If you drive around the barricade then you're on your own. /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

DONATE TO CTPs and ring of fires like the rest of us that get discs we never throw :DI finally got down to just 4 or 5 Stillwater Wasps, some day I will clean out the odd Innova stuff I do not throw like T birds and Leopards.
Like you, I wish I could trade several discs I cannot / will not throw for something useful:
like maybe a few more Z-Extremes or a few of the newer Innova drivers that are finally more stable.
Birdie
Apr 11 2008, 03:44 PM
You should not tell a perennial donor to donate /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
And I said nothing about wanting to trade any discs. My discrap goes to the grinder as aforementioned. :)
And try not to speak in absolutes like you do about Innova. :( I hardly think there are many who can actually flip a whippet-x. /msgboard/images/graemlins/ooo.gif And you should have been able to get your hands one a few of those if you are hoarding xtreme's. :D

Currently I have secured 13 baskets for the alt course and I'm looking for 5 more. So far I got Joel Deering, Wayne Forest, Dave Wise, and Dan Bougher which covers about 13. Please call or PM me if you can let me borrow one. They will be put out just before the round and brought back to HQ immediately following the second round for safe keeping. Please make sure they are marked for proper owner identification.

More FYI
Depending of the number of last minute enties, the player meeting will be approx 9:45am at shelter 3. Same as last year. The flyer shows 10am approx t-time but that will probably be more like 10:15 or so.
Please register on Friday from 4pm - 8pm if possible. You all did a great job last year with about 90 or so who pre-registered. Thank you very much.
We will once again have Tournament Tye Dye shirts for $15. We have a very nice design this year and as an incentive to pre-register I will take a dollar off the shirts for those that pre-register and purchase them on Friday.
We have a limited number of Tye-Dye hats for $17.
We also have the FD/Lil'Moose duel mini's for $5. Very handy for carrying your night lights in. ;)
All profits from merchandise sales is going towards the new course so please color your world in Tye-dye if possible. :)

Thats right buddy. It wouldnt be the Tornado if it wasnt Twisted. Thank you very much Joe for getting everything started and bringing up the Twisted gear. :)
I think everybody will be seeing beautiful colors this weekend so bring a friend to share it with.
Dont forget Saturday is Earth day and it looks like Mother Earth is going to be very kind to us.
Current weather forecast calls for 10% chance of precip Friday & Saturday with a 30% on Sunday.
Highs on Saturday and Sunday around 76 deg with lows in the 60s. Winds 5-15.
Ill take those numbers any day.
The baskets will be lit on Friday night and look for a most colorful display on Saturday night during Waynes Saturday Night Flights Special Edition.
Once again we have all the shelters on the top level so feel free to get in there and stake your claim. All have electricity and there is also AC available in the big field by the telephone poll.
This year Im giving away 2 golden mini baskets. One will be a throw off for those that buy Mystic Moosagans and I still havent figured out how to give the other one away. You all need to remind me about it though or otherwise I might end up taking it home for my trophy case. :)
Look for a special celebrity appearance at the Ring of Fire. /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

It is now the eve of the EVE !!!
Update on the camping area around hole 10. Looks like Mr Standingbear is going to move the barricade back near hole ten and create a parking lot just east of the mound for those that want to camp back there. You won't be able to pull right into your camping spot but you will only have a short 30 or 40 foot walk depending on the spot you pick. The first road leading east of the mound will be closed so drive around to the road behind the mound if you want to camp there.
Don't forget that shelter 3 by hole # 1 is ours for the weekend. I don't want any non-DGer's trying to move in there so please consider camping there. Otherwise my security team of Twoputt and Barney Treat will have to risk getting beat up when they go to enforce our rights to the territory. ...That is also where I believe Mr Forest will be taking sign up's for Saturday Night Flights
I will have free glow necklaces for everyone both nights so even if you're not camping, come out and check out all the colors. I'll even hook up your dog with one so you'll be able to keep track of him in the dark.
Special note to the "Sharpie" crowd. The man you are looking for will probably be passed out at shelter # 2. I'm not going to mention his name, but he's a close relative of this guy. ;)
http://www.tulsadiscsports.org/boxhead.gif
By the way, there will be a short public service announcement at the players meeting on the dangers of drinking beer and falling asleep with your shoes on at a DG tournament courtesy of the local AA support group. /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I want to give credit to Hunter Boren and Rodney Carpenter for playing some decent golf.
It was my first three man playoff, and it was quite a thrilling experience for me.
I have never had so much fun getting a duce on hole one and 10!
Great job guys.
And great work Furdog and LilMoose (which is what I think her screen name would probably be) for running another great tourney.
Nice shot Mitch Mac! I think it was an Aero...but not for sure.
thanks red glad to see you win this one you were moving up all weekend and it was his blue aero it just knows wear the chains are

We had a great time last weekend, thank you Furdog and Lil Moose for putting on a fantastic weekend of fun and memorable times. I think the funniest part of the weekend was seeing all the sun burnt faces and calves at awards. I know Big Daves calves were BURNT!
The volunteers did a fantastic job! I've never seen such good attitudes and smiling faces, good job guys!
Oh yeah, nice ace Tammy! I wish I could have seen it.

Well it is not my place to talk, but I have to defend who I think you are talking about.
At least the volunteer, I think you are referring to, donates his/her time to events.
In fact I think he/she has spent more time helping out at tournaments this year than you have. And you are the TD at Blackhawk man.
If you had a problem with something speak up and settle it like a man, don't bash someone who does not read the board.
m_conners
Apr 21 2008, 06:10 PM
I'm not the TD at BlackHawk anymore, that changed last year. I thought you were an admin, cmon man get with the program.
I agree, to bash a volunteer on this board after it's all said in done is a very selfish act.

As for course TD, did you ever resign? Your still listed as course TD.
The admins approved Wagle as new TD over a year ago.
Not addressing it with the TD in person at the time and waiting until after the event and bringing it up in here for ALL to see is not what I would call taking the high road, it is actually the exact opposite.
IMO
Your right, Wise...all you disc golfers remember this point Dave made and don't wait till after the tournament to complain, it's bad karma for cring out loud!

I have really heard only one complaint. But it looks like it is not a big deal now...

You know Marie never posts on this board and hardly ever reads it until today but this is her response.
<font color="red">From LilMoose:
A HUGE THANKS to the few volunteers who stepped up and helped out with the tournament this weekend. As the shirt says, we only get by with a lot of help from our friends and we count everyone who volunteered this weekend as great friends!
If anyone had a complaint it should have been addressed to the tournament director to his face or as a pm. A tremendous amount of time, energy, and money went into trying to make this tournament a success and a fun weekend for all and thats all thats going to be remembered? Thanks for the memory .
</font> :p
Connors, you know I love you man but it's obvious that you have a personal problem with this person based on past history. I don't know all the details and I don't want to.
With all things good that happened this weekend I'm sorry that you feel the need to type so many negative words about one of my volunteers here on the board. I stand behind all my volunteers because they show up and work so that others like yourself can enjoy the event. I'm sorry I can't garrantee that they will always be in the most joyous of moods so if you have a problem with it then you are welcome to stay home.

Man!! I can feel the love on the board today!! :DI would like to thank Scott, Marie, Joyle, Juby, and all the other staff of this most spectacular of spectacles we call Chandlerstock!!!! I had so much fun this weekend I think I overdosed on it. :DI really had no idea it could be so fun to play so bad (except for round 3 with the ladies...I wish I played with them every round). Congrats to all the winners (and Wise for almost pulling off the big upset)! Thanks to Patton for the $10 and the memory of your face saturday night after shooting a 17 under....passed out, with the painted on beard & mustash with the paper plate saying "17 DOWN" hanging around your neck!! I will never....EVER forget that!! :DI sure hope one of the guys that took pictures of that posts them on here so all of you could see.
Again, thanks Furdog, Marie and staff for a GREAT WEEKEND!!

MC,
Sounds like Big Nic and Tooput are on target. MC, sounds like, you should have PM'ed. I was in the Ozarks this weekend on 2 of the hardest courses in MO and there was some drama there also. Guess what, It will never be on this board or any board.
Peace to all,
PS. Furdog sounds like Chandler Stock is the bomb, for FUN in OK, and probably none of my business, but I see what is on WWW also.

MC,
MC, sounds like, you should have PM'ed.
Shoulda, coulda, woulda, DIDN'T.
I would like to say I help out at tournament so more players can play and not help.. I don't play in the tournaments. I have never ment to have an attitude with any players or cause any problem but If I have I am sorry. AS for my attitude I will not defend myself in any way because I am not the only person who has bad moments. I do what I am asked to do by the TD's any changes or problems should be addressed to the TD.
I do the best I can to make things go smooth. I have helped out at several tournaments and will do so if I am asked to.
I had a good time at chandler and I enjoy seeing everyone. The most important thing is I am there to have fun and support my husband.

I again just want to throw a high paw of thanks, gratitude, and love to the following volunteers and supporters that helped LilMoose and I survive the weekend.
Richard Bales, Pat Standingbear, Tulsa County Parks Department & the Chandler park maintenance crew.
Evan McKee, Trophies Unlimited, & WAFDA / Over $300 of cool stuff including those ultra sweet tournament stamped koozies.
Joe Rotan & Twisted Flyer / Running Friday dubs, donating the cool colorful CS stickers, and Joe himself donating his split of 2nd place cash for a nice meal for Marie and I.
Dave & Julie Wise and Allied Insurance Associates / $100 split amongst the female pro divisions, basket loan, security side kick, stink bombs, & sheep provider.
Jake Rieger & Charlestons Restaurant / $100 in gift certificates.
Wayne Forrest / Over $100 in merch , grandfatherly advice, CTP director, ROF tag partner, helping with awards, & hangin basket loan.
Dan Bougher / $100 in Reasors gift cards & 2 basket loan, 2 Tulsa bag tags, & engraved ROF drink coasters.
Gary Nail / $ 100 in Walmart gift cards & basket loan, photographer.
Team TnT / Michael & Andrew Treat / The coolest and fastest payout & bagging dudes I know.
Martin Norris / Tournament volunteer there when I needed him.
Rob Davis / Tournament stamp designer, photographer.
Joyle Deering, Billy Juby, & Tony "Sky" Walker / Alternate course design & 8 basket loaners..
John & Karla Barton and kids / Tournament volunteers there when I needed them.
Mike & Kimmy Click / Merch for the ROF, tournament volunteers there when I needed them.
Billy Swanson / Basket loan, shelter set up and tear down.
Steve Naegele / Shelter set up and tear down.
Jerry Stacy / Basket loan & basket light hanger for Saturday Night Flights.
Jay Slack / Merch, & Twisted breakfast for Marie & I on Sunday.
Mitch Mac / Merch for ROF & basket light hanger on Friday night.
Jose Mendoza / There if I needed him.
Chris Wagle / 2 basket loan
Melissa Townsend / Stepping in to help check scores.
Richard Mitchell / Stepping in to help check scores.
Mike Connors / Bringing the error of the Rec. leader card hole assignment to my attention before the last round so we could fix it.
Brad Zimmerman / Basket loan
Coda Hatfield / Stuck around and helped clean up the shelter afterwards.
If I missed anybody else I apoligize.
If I snapped at or ignored anyone over the weekend, Im sorry. I know 20 minutes after registration ended I turned 1 person away just because I felt overwhelmed at the time and was irritated that he showed up late. I regret it now. :(
Out of the thirty or so people I mentioned above, about a third of them didnt even play.
At least ten of the 30 some are TDs themselves. That says a lot about the TDSA being one of if not the best club in the country. :)
I appreciate everyone who showed up to support, play, volunteer, or sponsor this event.
Marie and I never wanted nothing but to provide a laid back party atmosphere for everyone in the spirit of those that have done it before us.
Last year we did it to see if we could.
This year we did it so Dave Wise would not tag me as the One & Done TD.
Next year is the 25th Chandler Tornado which I now prefer to call Chandlerstock. After next year I will probably take a break and let someone else do it for a change. But for next year Im thinking about a possible CO-TD deal with possible PDGA sanctioning and maybe a side non-sanctioned event. I dont know for sure how that would work yet. Im looking for ideas.
For many of you, this year will be the last time you play the original course in its current hole placement. Ground breaking for the park improvements will be starting as early as late May and we will be losing at least holes 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, & 18 in their current locations. The good news is the new course is moving forward and should offer more challenge and length then the alternate course you played this weekend. I even found some woods behind the maintenance building we can shoot though to get to the forward part of the park. Final design is not set in stone yet but were still trying to get a least one hole shooting off the cliffs.
Once again, thanks everyone. :)

It doesn't seem to work as good as the county park wood. ;)
Thank you very much Zooc!!!!....I've got a slightly used golden sheep with your name on it.

We ended up with someone's sweater.
We believe it's a females. Size is medium and color is a dark gray (almost black). If anyone knows who this may belong to, please let me know.
Thanks,

FYI
Chandlerstock 2009.
The mountain has been reserved for the weekend of April 18th & 19th 2009. This will be the 25th anniversary. I'm probably going to have about 50 supercolor fund raiser disc made for this one so I'm looking for artwork designs now. Call me if you're interested in submitting something. All you no-show Arkie Donkey's,....make your plans now to attend because after this one I'm taking all the baskets with me and going home. ;)
I just got word on the new course that we may be able to cut through the woods behind the maintenance building and extend to the forward part of the park. They have an old zip course in the woods that should offer up at least 2 or 3 holes of woody wonders and tree whacking. No, it won't be Mohawk, but it won't flood either. ;)
The bad news is we got a definite NO on throwing down to the lower level. :(...It's probably best because some of you would just end up falling off the cliffs anyway. ;)
Alot a people have said they are willing to help design or offer ideas so after the GTO, get ready. I'm not going to wait for another ice storm to come along and screw up putting in the new course. I've got the money for the baskets, let's get'er done.

WOW, Furdog! Already stakin' claim for next year! Great job! Can't wait...am already marking my calendar! Now I just gotta talk to Vinnie and make sure he doesn't schedule Texas Women's Championship that weekend too.

Yeah Mel. I thought about the TWC too. I always like to keep it on or around Earthday which next year is Weds the 22nd. I hope he can schedule around my date because right now I'm thinking possibly a sanctioned event for next year in hope of bringin in a larger crowd. I'm hoping a new permanent course, sanctioning, and the fact that it's the 25th will be more enticing where people would choose not to bypass it. ...I might even do a co-TD deal so maybe I could play a round or two. :)
