Only 16 players registered so far. That seems like a pretty small number for an A-tier. St Patty's has 111 registered players on the same date out here in CA. Where are all the eastern discers?

Those interested in qualifying for the Vibram Open at Maple Hill spots need to know this:
You need to pay your MHO registration within 24 hours of receiving the spot or else it will be gone to a waitlisted player (like me!)
All that are interested in the spot need to be aware of this stipulation, and there should be an opt-in before the tournament (therefore, if you are not interested in going, don't opt in).
Hopefully those who are playing for the spot have every intention of going to the Vibram Open at Maple Hill. And Kirk, I am sure you are loud enough to inform everyone that they MUST register for the VO@MH within 24 hours.
I would have a sign up sheet with these rules on the check in table. Just thought I'd let you know if you were not already aware (probably different rules than they were last year.)
Parman
Mar 24 2008, 04:56 PM
Yeah Zilla, it's for both divisions. We are all playing the same courses at the same time. Therefore, the top 3 (not already qualified) regardless of division will earn the invite. It isn't the "MSDGC" anymore, but I'm sure you know that. It will be played at Maple Hill however which I really want to play.

I got another one of those stupid questions: I won a $45 ace pool (in RADL bux) at the am xtown and haven't cashed it in. Can I use it for my (trophy only) entry? If not, can I buy a couple of those old cfr dogwood classic rocs with it?

Typically the vouchers are only good the weekend of the event, Without being able to verify if that is a valid voucher I would definitely say no you cannot use it for your entry fee.
That was not what I would consider a stupid question. Stupid questions are "Can I register Saturday?" when you could use the scroll bar to look back 3 posts and see that I opened up registration until Saturday.
gotcha

NAAAAASTY conditions today.
Schweb shoots the hot round of 48, Hofmann shoots 49, Johnasen 54 Skinner 57.
Barry shoots a 51 on the third card to jump into third.
So, going to the last round, Schweb has Hofmann by 3 and then big gap to Barry and then he has 1 or 2 on Johansen.
Hofmann starts 223222 (perfect) to take the lead and never looks back, shoots the hot round of 49 to win by 3 over Schweb. Barry shoots 50 and gets third. Jackie Smalls shot a 51 to tie Johansen for 4th.
John Sheffield shoots 49 52 to take the masters win over Larry.
Sarah hangs on to win by 10 in women.
Congrats to the winners and THANKS KIRK!! THIS TOURNAMENT WILL NOT BE THE SAME WITHOUT YOU!

From the Vibram Open at Maple Hill website:
Registration: Within one week of the event, the TD will inform Steve Dodge of the players that registered for The Open at Maple Hill. Any spots not paid for will be forfeited to the Five Spots / Wait List.
Make sure these guys know this.

Matt,
I knew that and so do they.
They were told at the awards ceremony and they were each handed a sheet of paper that clearly stated what they needed to do.
It is now up to them to follow through.
