Well.....the obvious answer is KC, the best place to stay will be the host hotel, where everything is going to be centered around. I wanted to get this information out so that those people that like to plan early can go ahead and book flights, make travel arrangements and all that fun stuff that comes with the Worlds. We are working on getting our site live and hope to have that soon, but the calls that I have already been getting warranted at this information.

If you should have any questions, please do not hesitate to give myself or John Chapman a call or a note. You can also visit the KCFDC site currently http://kcfdc.org/forum/index.php?board=24.0 with some information to be posted there initially as well. Be advised that almost every detail of the event, with the exception of the courses will be at the Host hotel. We went this direction (as it is a little more $) in order for us to not have to relocate every venue that the worlds has come to love. This way, once in the area, the only thing that you will really need to worry about is getting to the course on time for your tee, eevrything else is all right here at the Westin Crown Center. It is a beautiful property with amenities that will make you glad that you chose to make your own life easier. From flat screens, to jacuzzi's, to a sushi bar on site, this property will make you want for nothing. Plan now, do not delay, it will be the best!

Looking forward to taking care of your vacation time in the summer of 2009! Thanks for playing, and more importantly thanks for being a part of disc golf history!!

Jack

Westin Crown Center will be the Host hotel for the 2009 Pro/Am Worlds.

www.crowncenter.com (http://www.crowncenter.com)

Located in the heart of downtown Kansas City, Crown Center is often called a city within a city. Three levels of great shopping and dining compliment two of the citys most luxurious hotels, exquisite office buildings, a residential community and several entertainment attractions. It all surrounds the worldwide headquarters of Hallmark Cards, Inc. Bring your family and your imagination for an unforgettable visit to Crown Center.

You will need to ask for the Disc Golf Rate (Kansas City Flying Disc Club or Disc Golf World Championships should suffice), the dates that we have blocked for the Hotel are from Sunday July 26 to Sunday August 02, 2009.

The Host hotel will have the following plus many more items of fun and entertainment as we get it all together:

Check In and registration

Players Meeting

Fly Mart

Tournament Central

PDGA (Banquet?) Awards

It is an awesome property, there is a mall connected, there is the museum across the street, and many other amenities. Ask for the Disc Golf Rate during this time, I believe that you will all enjoy a high class of standard that will truly create an experience of WOW!

The room rate is $134 night for single or doubles, and suites are $350 and up. The normal room rate right now for the property is $289/night, you will not be dissapointed.

Sign up now, and do not miss the chance to be a part of the best worlds ever.

More information will be provided as we move forward, I just wanted to get this information out for those that have asked. Yes I have received about 10 calls already asking me about this information.

Dates are set, hotel is set.

We will be using this hotel as the Host Hotel for the Wide Open this year as well. You will need to get the reservation in early, as we only have the same rate locked down until three weeks prior (5/17) of $134, after that it goes to $219, the regular rate is still $289.

Though not as much activity will be at the host hotel as will be during the Worlds, the venue is SWEET, and you will not be dissappointed.

All divisions will play 3 days, Am's 5 rounds, Pros 4 rounds.

More information before the end of the week, and then will start a KCWO (26th) thread for easier viewing.

Thanks,

jack

Nice....working on a new bathroom where the Bar used to be, should be done in time for the Wide Open, so at least we will have 2 places to use......

I guess then that I will also be capping the limit of entrants at my house to lets say 10.....maybe run with that as of now.....
