Doubles tonight at 6 pm at Valley Springs. $5 entry includes $1 ace pool and top 2 teams win cash. It'll be a great opportunity to get some last minute practice in before this weekends tournament.

For those that don't know, there are 3 different courses at Valley Springs (Red, White, Blue or Short, Regular/Original, Long). The way doubles works is a dice is rolled to determine the pads played for the front and then rolled again for the back 9. You don't know what you'll be playing until you get there, but it's always fun.

Due to light issues we will not play long/long or a reg/long layout this evening. Last year it was pitch black with four holes to go. Also if there is a group of six on the first hole longs might be removed from the dice roll.
I'll be out if anyone wants to sign up.

What a wild tnmt. If you missed this one you truly missed out on a great opportunity. Jerry and the BCDGC did a fantastic job. Timely, precise, and just a heck of alot of fun. 4rds, 4 differnet tee pads, all with a different look. Good Job, very well ran. Congrats to the winners, and thanks to the Old Baggers I played with. We need to do this real soon.
Good Job once again Jerry

I want to take this time and thank all the sponsors for the Bull City Am Shootout.
Danny Hill, Robbie Dunn, Chris Benson with Gateway, all BCDC members, BCM members, and last but not least Ed Kushill for all your hard work and time to make these courses what they are today.
If I left anyone else out, I thank you as well.

Mother nature was kind to us this weekend as we were lucky to dodge the nasty weather that was predicted for us. I'm sure a number of golfers were scared of getting wet, but those that made it out seemed to enjoy playing. I personally had a great time and it was nice to see Cornwallis being played again. Considering these are my home courses, I wasn't happy with the way I played, but all of the groups were fun and I got to meet some new golfers I hadn't played with before.

Thanks to Jerry Roach & Jack Barkley for running the tournament and to Ed Kuschill for all of his efforts in pouring the teepads and keeping the courses looking good.

Lastly, congrats to Sheffy for solid shooting over the weekend and to all of the other division winners.

Don't forget that our random doubles are now on Tuesday night (Cornwallis) and Thursday (Valley Springs). Tee time is 6 pm and entry fee is $5. Top 2 teams get paid cash. Come join the fun!
