hate to miss this event, but can't pass up VTI.

This event usually fills so get you money in early!

Good luck to those at VTI, this year's field looks awesome. Bring the cup back to NC!!!

Just curious, What is it about VTI that makes it as desireable as it seems to be? Pros are always attracted to big prize money. Is it that? Is it a campout, or do you stay in hotel rooms? Do you bring your own food, are you on your own? Are there other side events such as distance or putting, or is it "extracurricular" activities.

For me it is that Hawk Hollow is an amazing course, match play is so much fun and I love the team part of the event. All year long we are completely dependent on ourselves every round, every shot. That is not the case at VTI.

My first year there I was so nervous. My first match I was getting beat by someone who I should easily beat. I was upset and I remember passing Carlton and he asked how I was doing. I told him I was gonna lose. He said don't worry we already got 5 or 6 wins so we got it. Later on in the weekend the same thing happened, except I was winning and Carlton was losing. Its just a unique experience.

I signed up Team Triad for something like the 2017 VTIs (need to get year from John Biscoe).

I can see a good team from our area, by 2017 that is.

If I'm still alive then, I'll look forward to watching. ;-)

keeping it up front. No day of registrations, but we are usually full b4 then anyways. start getting them in by snail mail or pay pal. see everyone on the 15th.

SuperDave!!!! I am bummed I can't make the event this time, but I will surely shoot up there soon. In case you haven't heard, there is a THIEF among NC golfers, and they stole plastic at Buckhorn, and Richlands. If you have any golfers registered for your tournament that also played buckhorn and richlands, watch them...someone is a total loser...

WOW, Dawns rating just skyrocketed, and Matt Kulp playing Novice would be like Schwebbie playing Intermediate. But with no rating for this player who can shoot 950s, he just might play novice. Ultimate bagger. Now we have a pretty good player in Rec division, 901, My Idol.

Well, I just did the processing to make my bank send the check, and then found out the earliest it will let me make the payment process is the 17th. Guess I'd better cancel it and go find one of those "stamp" things or whatever they're called.

You may want to overnight it just to be sure. Otherwise 3 days may be too late.

I am missing Mooky's this week, I know, it sucks...have to go a bacholor party for a wedding I am in next month. My next tourney will be up in VA (hopefully) and then to defend at the Yadkinville Spring Tourney.

I like Stack and Cheebo in the finals...If Cheebo plays the shorts like he is capable of then he is hard to beat. Stack played well at the State Games last year (his first time seeing the course) so it like his chances. I do believe that Thumbers will prevail. Look out of Andy Masi and Jason Hill as well, hopefully they will play up to par.

I am pulling hard for Doug Cline in intermediate, and always pulling for TJ (went and saw TJ's newborn last night...Coleman Ace Fowler, that little boy is going to be a champion)!

If you see TJ, please tell him congrats on his first boy.

Cashing in my frequent flyer miles, got to visit my Mom in Minnesota, trying to get back in time for the Mookies cup not mine. Been traveling around, suffering from jet lag. Try taking a 175gm firebird through the airport, not easy. Mookie, may need your help so I can get back on time. Cold up here, and they don't speak English. Wyatt, if I get back in time, You will feel the wrath of the Wyatt Killer. Gotta improve my rating, not sure, but may not even qualify for novice division :eek:

Good Job Mookie,Tater, and Mike. Fun times even with the rain. Got to spend some extra time with friends. After all my traveling, I was a bit tired but had a great time. We found Andrew's Ce Valkrie, bad news it already had another name on it and his stamp was still on it. The Guy Must not understand that you get people their disc back. I just don't understand way people don't return disc. I'm sure this guy had no idea what CE plastic is.

I was nice. I just walked away after asking him for it.
