Does anyone have any information regarding this year's Soiree? No dates have been posted yet, however, I'm assuming this event will occur the last weekend of April. Definitely one of the best courses and tournaments in the Mid-Atlantic region.
I've got an entry fee burning a hole in my pocket... :D

The latest date I've seen for the Seneca Soiree is the weekend of Nov. 15-16, so hang onto that entry fee for a while. If you just want an excuse to play Seneca in competition, there are several one-day events on the schedule between now and then.
I don't know when you last made it down to Seneca, but as 27 holes (changed last summer), it is amazing. They are still doing small refinements to smooth out the flow of the course, and are adding a few more long teepads so there will be red and white boxes on every hole, but that's just taking it from being a great course to being an unbelievable course.
It is one of the most relaxing courses I know of to play -- very scenic and lots of wildlife -- and, of course, 27 holes to kick your butt. Anything in the 80s is a pretty decent score on the longs. Anything under 80 is incredible. I think my best in casual play has been an 82, and I'm pretty sure I was playing 1000+ rated golf to get there -- it was one of the best rounds of my life.
Look forward to seeing you at Seneca... I agree its an amazing course.

talked to craiger this am. Tenatively we will insert the screamer in may and move the soiree to november 15-16 pending approval by the club and the pdga. Currently there is too much work to make the course ready for an A tier event by may. Last year wasn't too bad with the dry weather, but any rain and half the tees are slop. Work days are scheduled this spring and work will continue in hopes of having the course back to it's usual standards by fall for a late Soiree. Hang on to that entry fee!

Thanks for the input, everyone. Spring won't be the same without the Soiree, but it is what it is. My personal preference would be for the event to be contested in November. If we can't play amongst the flowering Dogwoods in April, then it would be a nice consolation to see those beauties during the autumnal color change.
Please keep us up to date, Cedar Farmers.... :)

yep, old bastard. riggins is one of my favorite athletes ever and quite possibly the only red/dead/foreskin i ever liked. there was a guy on my floor in the dorms years ago who looked just like him.
