Join us for a 1-day, SUNDAY only, non-sanctioned event at Chris & David Sauls's private course near Newberry, SC.
$20 Pros
$12 Ams
* If you haven't played here before, a chance to check out this challenging course.
* If you have played, a perfect warm-up for the PDGA-sanctioned, SCDGO-points-series Stoney Hill Challenge in April.
* If you can't stay on the fairways---and we strongly recommend that you do---you can still find your discs in the rough rough this time of year. Mostly.
* Sunday-only, so your Saturday is free for ice bowls or non-disc-golf events. Of course, you're welcome to come out Saturday for practice rounds (or even to help work).
More information on the course, including directions and contact numbers, at Stoney Hill website (http://www.saulsinsurance.com/stoneyhill)
Note that, as with the Stoney Hill Challenge, the only divisions offered are Pro, Pro Master, Advanced, Advanced Master, and Intermediate. Due to the challenging nature of the course we don't recommend it to anyone who can't throw 250' with some degree of control....but you're welcome to try.

As mentioned on the flyer, lunch will be available. The plan is for John & Christine Wright to cook chili (it will be February, after all), with proceeds going to the Sayde's Memorial. If you don't avail yourself of this, we recommend you bring your lunch. It's 10-15 minutes each way to the nearest food, and much more pleasant to linger around the peace & quiet at Stoney Hill between rounds.

This being a Sunday-only tournament, the course is available for those who want to come out Saturday and practice. Or work. Or both. We'll be out there, working or both.
If you haven't played Stoney Hill before, check with me. You can try to find your way around with a map, or perhaps we can coordinate our schedule to show you around.

James,
Should not fill but we expect to double are attendance from last June. Rain forecast has been pushed back to 30% but it looks like they are calling for wind.
We are giving away a 12 pack of Bud Light to the longest putt on 18. Thanks to Travis, we are giving away a lot of alcoholic CTP's.

Weather Forecast - 10% chance of rain..High 65.
The tournament is being held as a fundraiser for the American Heart Association for my son Drake born 11/5/08. After birth, they detected a heart defect which required open heart surgery when he was 1 week old that saved his life. Any donations would be greatly appreciated.

A big thanks to everyone who came out for what turned out to be a great day, with an exciting tie-breaker in the Open Pro division.
You can check out the Results (http://www.saulsinsurance.com/stoneyhill/Quarry.htm) here.
Thanks for those who contributed in donating $110 for the American Heart Association, in honor of PDGA #34432 Drake Sauls.
We were able to gather a lot of information from the surveys that were returned, and tabulating scoring averages per hole, and you can soon read about them is the discussion under Courses: Stoney Hill.

......and we hope you'll return, and bring others, for the Stoney Hill Challenge on April 13, our first sanctioned event. Course will have greened up, leafed out, and groomed a bit more by then.
