An essential piece of equipment. What spurred this note though was finding a stubby Morley Field, San Diego pencil on my Ramcat course here in northwestern North Carolina. :cool:Going to Hawaii in April. I'll have to try to come up with some stubbies while I'm there to salt on other NC courses.

Country boy from the south Georgia swamps washes up in the Brushy Mountains of NC......... daggone what a big old world it is out there. You might not believe this but the other day I saw a wrist watch with a calculator on it. True story. :D:cool:

Stack, we need to get some kind of home, and home, and home thang going with Bracketts, and Cranberry, and Ramcat. Have your people holler at my people.

And Rod, sup in Burlington?

Oh we're good in B-town. Been busy getting some organizational stuff done w/ the club and trying to get another private course put together. :DThey've let me have a hand in it so we've been trying to "turn up the evil" in the design. We're hoping to get it completely playable by April or so. It's wooded, it's tight, there's a river in play on multiple holes, but it's fair. Just look out for the rock hole. There's not quite the elevation changes you've got in your backyard, but we did find some hills to use. I'm sure once it's done we can arrange for the Yadkinettes to come check it out. As a matter of fact, once it's done we have seriously thought about a backyard pick your partner dubs cross county style a la the old Cross State Doubles if you and Stack would be down with the use of your respective backyards. But of course we have to finish our new course first.
Sometime soon I'm going to have to make a trip out to play in your backyard again. I got a truck a couple months ago so I shouldn't have to be afraid of the loss of my muffler riding up the hill. Oh yeah, and ACE Club monthlies at Cedarock 3rd Saturday (yep next weekend) if any of your people want to make a trip. I don't remember the exact details right now but I'll find out and post it to the ACE Club thread soon.

Sorry, should have been more specific as to which Stack I was refering to. Jamie knew what I was talking about. I haven't played Cam Yards yet. Wouldn't mind giving it a try either though. Just don't know when I'll make it to Charlotte again. Hopefully soon.

Oh, and back to the subject of pencils. When I was playing our Sunday tourney today, lo and behold, there's like a dozen in my bag that have just been accumulating, apparently for some time. I thought there were 2 or 3 in there but they seem to be like rabbits. Can't leave em unsupervised because they multiply way too quick.

Abso-darn-tooting we'll be down with the cross-state and all y'all boys are welcome in Y-Co anytime. Gots to see the eighteen hole version of the Disco too. It'll make your brain itch. :D
