Those are being given away in a raffle, tickets are 2 bucks . You can buy them on the site. Those are super custume baskets , he makes all dif kinds of baskets ,some even have words all around the baskets. And I know he does them for less than 1600.00 bucks. If you win one of those they would be shipped to your house free!!! Were raiseing money for a food bank. Mark

Those are Beautiful Baskets.
Just think an 18 hole course would start out a $28800 if they are 1600 a piece.

Joe, How many raffle tickets will be sold? Is there a limit?
4907
Jan 13 2008, 11:54 AM
Hello Boneman:
There is no limit on tickets sold. These proceeds help pay the nut on the tournament which is huge. We give away hundreds of raffle prizes both days and those tickets pulled do not go back in the drawing. Online tickets will go into the drawing each day just prior to pulling the basket winners so you folks have an excellent chance.
BTW: last year on AM day the winner only bought 2 tickets with his last 5 bucks.

Tom Holsten is one the premier artists in disc golf.
I suspect I have one the more impressive collections of his work. If only I could figure out how to add a basket to the collection...

I cannot recall who won the basket on Sunday but I can tell you this ... I am pretty sure it was someone that was NOT at the tournament. I think they were from out of state which means a person that saw a link from the message board.
I am NOT 100% positive though so I'll wait for Uncle Joe Weinshel to make an official post.
I can tell you about Saturday because I pulled the winning basket ticket out (I didn't have money in for either day). It was a local who is very deserving. Karma is great.

Congratulations, Boneman.
In my opinion, I really liked the double decker better than Through Top (no offense Tom). I've had a chance to play on the Double Decker that Tom has at his house. The top portion even catches "normal" size putters if you hit it right.
Have fun with it!
how many tix did you buy?

I won the other basket. I'm the course pro at Dretzka park where the tourny was played. It was a doubles event (bring your own partner). My partner ( Barry Schultz) bought some tickets and put my name on a few and one of those tickets won me the basket. That is awesome!!!!!!!!! I didn't even know he did it! I just wanted to publicly thank him. So thank you Barry !! Enjoy your basket Boneman ! You won't believe how cool it is when you put it together for the first time .

Mark, that's awesome. Great story. Congrats on the new basket.
I'm really psyched to get mine, I recently moved one of my two yard baskets to the office [for putting breaks, LOL]. Now I'll have another for the yard! And it's going to look really great. Funny, my wife is already making suggestions I sell the ChainStar ... NOT going to happen. I know "someday" I'll have a piece of property where I can build my own course, guess what basket is going on hole#1?

Your double decker is on a brown truck heading your way. When you get it assembled have your bride take a photo of you and the basket and email it to me for my website. Not only is the basket amazing wait till you hear the sound of the chains for the first time. Quite remarkable in itself. Nice job, and thanks for your support.

2:00 PM. UPS just dropped it off. Got a big laugh from the UPS guy ... He came walking in saying "Somebody better check this package ... sounds like it might be broken to bits". LOL ... he got a good laugh when I told him what is was. I have another basket out in the office lawn and showed him what it was. Then we were cracking up when he unloaded it and shook it real good.
Unfortunately ... I'm totally buried with work, and haven't been able to take a moment to open the package yet! Will get to it after I put out all the fires, LOL.
Anyway. It's here!

Got the basket set up ... wow, that was easy! Threw a few putts in the office ... the first in over five weeks! Hit every one, lol.
Man, I can't putt worth a **** with a mini! Tom ... how much might it cost me to get a bottom basket and pole for the mini so I can use it indoors sometimes. ;)
Sweet basket! Thanks guys!
I'll send you some pics as soon as I can.
