we had the biggest turn out this year last month at the November Monthly with 22 people. that is huge. i think December is going to be even bigger and below is why

Website has been updated. New News section is flowin and the Points Race is coming down to the wire. we have a tie right now for the last spot of the Am division final 4 and the last spot on the Open side is very tight as well. The December monthly is where it will all go down to see who is going to make it into the final 4 spots for the Am and Open skins match. so stay tuned and watch the drama unfold.

thanks for updating DG...I think the points chase was a much stronger draw this year, especially in pro. Should be an exciting finale.

Alright...the chase is nearing the finish line, the trophies arrived so we can tally up the points and award the top 3 after the monthly.

In the Am division Chi has a one pt lead over Chad for the overall lead. Chi can drop a 15 pt result from March and Chad a 16 pt from Feb. Gonna be fun. Looks like Fig has 3rd wrapped up for a second straight year. Stew & D-Tuck are tied for the final skins spot with 95 pts, neither can drop a result so it will be a straight shootout for those two...excitement.

In the Pro Division Rory and Rudy can cruise to the top two spots for a second straight year, congrats. Darrin has a 3 pt lead over Christian for third. Darrin can drop a 16 pt result from April, but Christian can drop a 10 pointer from July so advantage Big Daddy. Yours truly is 3 pts back in 5th so a small miracle is needed to make the skins again. Should be fun.

The weather is supposed to be nice, bring some CTP's, perfect change, and let's make this a great year end finale.

awesome is right, the first one was about a 70 ft up-shot thru the trees and the second one was that 25 ft scary downhill putt we've all had there for the last 3 skins.

There will be a flat Enrty fee of $10.00 for all divisions (ace pool and Bag of Bucks will be optional and on top of the entry)

If you are a NHDGC Member and are current for 2009 you will get to play for free.

If you are a NHDGC Member and are not current the enrty will also count for your 2009 renewal

Everyone that plays the monthly will receive a Bag Tag along with the normal pay outs for winners in each division.

Bag tags will be distributed like this:
the best total score no matter what division will be awarded the # 1 tag and then it will descend from there.

In the case of ties it will go like this. if the ties are between current bag tag holders the lower bag tag will go to the person that has the lowest 2008 bag tag.

If the ties are between a bag tag holder and someone who does not have one the lower bag tag will go to the person that has a 2008 bag tag.

if the tie is between 2 or more people that do not have bag tags then it will start with hottest last round then alphabetical last name.

(we will have an opt out of the buy in for Rec only. if there is a rec player there that would rather jsut pay the $5.00 then we will work them. for am's it is only $2.00 so suck it up and support the club please.)

How will the new bag tags be distributed for people that won't be able to make it this weekend but that have already paid? Will we have to wait for the next monthly? Or do we just get the next number in line after the monthly?

for all current members that are unable to make it to the monthly you will recieve the next sequencial tag after the monthly according to the order in which you renewed. Chi you would be in the first batch of renewals so you would likely get one of the lowest tags after we pass out tags at the monthly. i am hoping you can make it but if not i will post bag tag numbers for current club members that where not able to make the monthly and then get them to you post haste.

I'm glad you asked that question Chi. Unfortunately I will not be able to play in the monthly for it is my Saturday to work, But i will stop by on Sat. for a quick round and to pick up a tag before I have to head to Fayetteville to play a show that night.

I wish I could make it, but I'll be on the other side of the state kicking up some man-made snow...

I will try to make it by Jefferson Monday morning, though. I can't wait to see that course.

Thanks for running things Monty and DG, and nice call playing both rounds from the longs...Scott shot a 62 and a 60 but to anyone who didnt hear the story...The Deacon had gotten to within 2 strokes of me in the second round but on hole 17 we couldnt find his second shot, which was in the woods somewhere close to 100 ft short. He should have have gotten out of there with no worse than a 57.

we would love to have you as a member. and i guess we could restructure the transactions to make it. it is $20.00 to join the club the bag tag match was just that if you where not a member you got to play the event for the purhcase price of a bag tag $10.00 if you where a member but where not current the $10.00 entry counted as your renewal (it is $20.00 to join and $10.00 to renew) but you get a disc and a bag tag when you join and you bought a roc from the club in the parking lot and played the bag tag match for $10.00 so you are right you are now a member of the N.H.D.G.C. thanks toomes and welcome to the club!!!!

the points are updated and the race is on. we have a tight race in the am and open feild for last spot in the skins match.

december monthly should be interesting so come join in the fun next weekend. we will have a ton of new discs in the club store as well as the end of the year awards ceremony. Come party with the NHDGC!!!!

SO i am taking a look a the skins finalists possibilities and there are some great scenerios to play out next Saturday.

In the open filed the top 2 spots are secure but the last trophey spot as well as the last skins spot is in play for several people.

D'cun and DP have yet to get 8 scores so they will get the full number of points for thier finish in the Dec. Monthly if they show up. So that puts Monty and Rudy on the bubble.

Rudy at most can finish the season at 141 (if he wins the Dec. monthly)
Monty at most can finish the season at 137

So that means that if Deac can finish Top 8 or better He would take over 3rd and get a trophey as well as an invite to make some late season lunch money.

Now onto the dark horse here. DP is a little farther back but still has a shot at that last invite to the skins match. DP needs a good finish in the last monthly for sure but he also need a little help. If DP can finish Top 3 that would put him at 140 - 138 which would mean that Rudy would have to finish higher than 6th place to make the skins.

If Rudy finishes in the top 4 then Rudy will win the last coveted spot.

Now to the darkest dark horse. John the man Moncreif. Monty will need a win and have to have DP and Rudy finish outside of the top 5 or 6. if this happens he is in.

so for DP Rudy and Monty's sake and to make things really interesting lets hope we have a bunch of open players. if we can get 8 to 10 people things could really get interesting!

Now on to the AM's

Here the Top 3 spots are on lock down. but once again the last spot is way up for grabs. But it is a 2 man race between Chi and Alan. If they both show up Alan needs to finish 3 spots in front of Chi to tie and 4 spots to win.

If anyone was to tie for the last invite to the Skins match in either open or am. then the tie will be broken in a sudden death play off immediatley preceeding the skins match. The skins match is scheduled for the weekend of Dec. 19th and 20th. the exact times and days will be decided by the participants at the monthly.

Monty way to get them scores up with the quickness!! we are off to a great start for 2010 and we are going no where but UP. We have seen a huge growth in our Monthly and doubles tournaments over the last 2 years and i see them doing nothing but getting better. Our monthly attendance is up 33% from 2008 with a modest growth rate of 7% over 2009.

Our April Monthly / Azalea warm up will be on Saturday the 10th. If you are playing the Azaela this will be the perfect time to play 2 rounds of competitive stroke play golf on the tournament course positions. Come see why these monthlies are so sucessful and join in the fun

Saturday completely reinforced to me that ,I HATE PLAYING IN THE RAIN!!! And what were we thinkin voting for 27 holes. DOH!!!!

OK the skins matches are getting close. The weather looks bad for Saturday but we'll worry about that later. Please come out and watch the playoff @ 9:30am.

I know Fig has played this format before but for the other ams that have not we will need a $10 cash entry fee (no vouchers). The club will match that amount $40 to guarantee an $80 purse. If anyone wants to add extra money to the purse LET ME KNOW ahead of time (pro or am) so I can factor it in the night before. Each hole will have a dollar amount(skin), increasing thru the back nine. It is match play! One player has to win the hole outright to take the skin(s).
If 2 tie all tie and the skin carries to the next hole. It's different startegy so pay attention to the other players.

Fig is going to try to get a start time confirmed for 10am, any later and I don't see it happening because we still have our playoff to do. I want this to be fun and enjoyable for everyone so don't feel obligated to start early, we can postpone again if needed.

The heat was on for this tournament. The temperature wasn't too high really, but the humidity was killing us! It was still a great day and I'm pretty sure everyone had a blast. Big thanks to everyone that helped make everything go so smoothly.

It was hot..but at least we had a good breeze in the air. It certainly didn't help with the putts, though. We had 13 Pros and 14 Ams to start with, for a total of 27 players in the tournament. We received several donations for Juvenille Diabetes and donated $27 this weekend. Such a great response!

We were finally able to get a couple of ladies out this weekend. Not enough for their own division, but we have to start somewhere.

First, I would like to thank everyone that donated to the Juvenille Diabetes CTP fundraiser. We raised $26 through the registration. I would also like to recognize Nick, James, and Brandon for giving extra, making the total $33!

The NHDGC Juvenile Diabetes donations already have a total of $60 for 2012.

January NHDGC Monthly Points Tournament

Ok. Here we go!

Outstanding weather and outstanding turnout. If you're going to break one record, you may as well try to break them all. Occassionally, we'll see 30 or so people in the monthly tournaments. We blew that away in January with a whopping 51 players! There are PDGA sanctioned tournaments that don't get that many.

We also paid out the biggest Ace pool I have ever seen. And did I mention women yet?? We had our first womens division and look forward to many, many more. Let's break it down:

Tons of new people, tons of old faces, tons of fun. I'm glad we had enough resources for such a huge turnout. I'll make sure we have twice as much for the next monthly to be ready for new records!

Such a great January monthly. Let's rock it out in February. Keep the ladies coming so we can have our first womens skins match. Sounds pretty great, huh?
