Saturday January 12, 2008...Bicentennial Park, Crowley Texas. The week after the PIO in Grapevine. This event will also be a Southern National Qualifier.
The charities that we are giving too will be The Crowley House of Hope and The Friends of the Crowley Library, both of which to great things for our community.
You can only sign up through me. The cost will be $25.00 entry fee + $5.00 optional ace pot. We are going to carry over our normal Saturday ace pot which is at $850.00 right now. All divisions will be offered. This is a charity event so, no money or prizes will be paid out. The winner of each division will receive a custom made trophy by yours truly. The first 50 people that sign up will receive a long sleeve t-shirt, a disc and a mini, all with the official Ice Bowl 2008 stamp.
We will only play one round(probably mixed tees). Eat some lunch and then play the 5 for 5. It is a game where I will set up 5 baskets in a X formation and each basket will have its own CTP. It will be $5.00 for 5 throws. You can pay as much as you want. After that we will play flip doubles at $5.00 a man, winner takes all.
Hope you can make it. Tell your friends.

Ya, that is a bad course rule. If you don't touch the other side you should have to re-tee. Watched JD shank one into the tree flop down in the creek and made an easy 35' putt for a 3?

It's not the easiest 35 ft putt. It is downhill with the creek only 10 ft. behind the basket.

Good or Bad, it's the Rule. Not realizing what hole i was on cost me 3 more strokes. 1 for the "practice throw", and 2 more for turning in the wrong scorecard. See what happens when the Doc tells you to take a year off! :D
I cashed and still beat a lot of people. :D

Good thing Dave is used to the ribbing. Besides, he could care less what you all have to say about him, especially when he has this waiting at home for him:

CROWLEY ICE BOWL January 12, 2008
Players meeting at 9ish.
Tee off soon after that. The Ace pot will be over $1000.00(assuming that it doesn't get hit on Saturday.)
This event is a Southern National Qualifier and also a qualifier for the Twin Oaks Invitational.
REMINDER: The first 50 people that sign up will receive a long sleeve t-shirt, a disc, a mini and a Discraft decal. The cost is $25.00 per entry + $5.00 ace pot (optional).
If more than 50 people show up to play, then those that won't get a players package will pay $10.00 less. $15.00 entry + $5.00 ace pot.
Thanks to our sponsors, we are going to have some SWEET CTP packages for the 5X5 game. This is a game in which I will set up 5 TARGETS in a X formation, and each target will have it's own CTP. It will cost you $5.00 for 5 throws. (you can pay to play as much as you want.) All the money goes to a great cause.
I will also be making some glass trophies for all the 1st Place winners of the tournament. All divisions will be offered, but there must be at least 3 players in a division.
After the round and the fun activities I plan on running Flip Doubles for $5.00 a man. Payout depending on how many teams there are.
MAKE SURE TO BRING THAT EXTRA CASH!!!!!!!!

It appears that we only have Heidi playing in the ladies division. I have a recommendation. In the interest of fairness and I will be happy to play in her division as long as it does not cost me any additional entry fee. And if you were also willing to spot me 5 strokes I might even be able to get Mr. Covalt to come out so we could have a group of 3. So just give that some thought and get your people in touch with my people....
