anyone throw the 150 x-surge? any comparisons to a 150 dx wraith, or anything else in 150?

Bought two, threw them until they contacted wood, became worthless, keep throwing them down the ridge now, keep getting returned, throw them down the mountain again........... Daggone I wish they'd go away. True story. /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I throw exclusively 150g in my drivers. Bought a couple of X plastic 150g Surge's. By the time they hit a couple of trees they were cut badly and turned over like an Optimizer...... if they made an Optimizer in 150 class. Disappointing to say the least. And, yup, I do indeed keep throwing them away down the mountain, no name on them and folks keep bringing the da-- things back. True story.

I have been tinkering with a 150 Surge lately. I throw drivers in the 145-160g range almost exclusively. I have found the Surge to be pretty persnickedy - it is very nose-angle sensitive and seems to also be rather hyzer/anhyzer sensitive as well. That being said, I had one of my longest (if not the longest) throw on one of the wide open holes that I normally play. I overdrove a basket that I normally struggle to get within putting range of. I have only used this disc on a wide-open fly-18 course, so I can't comment on durability. I'll need to test it more to see if it's dependable enough to carry regularly.
