Would love to participate in this event, but have a problem with events that start around 10:00. It's the around word that makes me nervous. Nothing personal, it's just a thing with me.8:00 is around 10:00, as well as 12:00. It too is around 10:00. Sorry, just the way I was trained, Old Army style

Sorry Paul. If this event is going to be "at 10" I'm afraid I'll have to miss it. I much prefer the flexibility of an "around 10" tee time. ;)

Just bustin' on Rocky a little Paul. Should be able to make it. Going with "around 10" will let the ice and snow melt a little. :D

I'll be happy to draw you as a partner brother. but would rather draw Dawn,

Tyson and or Paul.

I made a course map of Barber. for a satilite image. if you can decribe where the two missing hole will be i will be glade to update the map and bring copies for those that don't know the course.

Also put me down for at least 3 CTP's. maybe a serprise for the winner as well.

What up Wyatt,

I am not exactly sure where the extra holes will be added. I am thinking over by the Tennis Court Building/Maintenance Shed after hole after current hole 4/old hole 6. Probably teeing off from behind 6's pin to the wooded area in front of the Shed. Then from the new pin to an area close to hole 7's(new hole 5) teepad.

I remind everyone this is going to be a great time for a great cause!

Payouts will seem low (but we will have CTPs and may have a chance to win a basket), but spirits will be High!!!

Again if you in town (or around), your down.

Here is a map of the course as it will stand for the Ice Bowl, there is no old 2 and 3, those are now the old 4 and 5, and we have added a new 5 and 6, but other than that the course will be the same.

Thanks to Wyatt for hooking up the map, and CTPs.

Watch out for that Barricade rail that blocks the entrance to the facility. Last time I was there, wind blew it and if caused $600.00 damage to the hood of the HEminator

Thinking about offering $1 mulligans in 1st round only. Probably cap it at $10 per player.

I would love to have your thumber on my team, not to mention the 35' putt. This course has thumber after thumber on the back.

The Raleigh Ice Bowl did that last year, it was awsome. I set a prefigured amount, and wind up throwing 14 mulligans on the last hole. Unfortunately, you still have to use your last shot, and that last shot was pitiful. A -8ft TreeKnockin Thumber. But very fun

3 junior world champs showed up on a beautiful january day to greensboro's ice bowl. turnout was small but much fun was had by all and we raised around $250 for Sanctuary House and a couple hundred lbs of food.
Thanks to Innova, GB P & R, Disc Golf U, Scientific Disc Golf-Wiggins, The Coggins, The Geists, Tyson and Amanda, and Paul Wingfield for their help and support of this event. We had 22 players and 17 Ctp's for 17 holes.
We played random draw the first round and seeded doubles the second round- quess what little bagger named Dave Wiggins, Jr came away with two -10 rounds to win 1st place.
Dont forget Johnson Street's Ice Bowl in High Point on Sunday Jan 27th. 11 am singles, 230 doubles. Come play either event or Both.
Again I would like to say thanks for those who came out to support our charity yesterday. Give yourself a pat on the back.

2nd Jeff Brewer 41, 43 - 84
tied for 3rd
Alex Wells 45, 42 - 87
Tyson Harton 43, 44 - 87
Sean Gentry 41, 46 - 87

Thanks again for Tater, Wyatt, Lil Wiggins and Team Geist (Rocky and Dawn) for all the CTPs, way to Step It Up!

Added info.
The Sacutuary House is a Non Profit Organazation in Greensboro that helps menatlly ill adults seek individualism and work skills to function in today's work enviroments. This is a special charity because they work closely with a fellow disc golfer and PDGA #31944, Paul Wingfield to let him know he has the ability to set up and plan events like this one (which he did) and help make a difference in the world.

Congrats and thanks to everyone that made this possible.

I don't Know where to start.

My hat is off to Paul. If you have ever put on an Ice Bowl you know what I mean. Getting Ctp's, prises, and then getting people to show up. Great job. Tyson When Paul first talked to me about an Ice Bowl I knew you where the right one for the job. At the time I thoght I would be middle of a Creekside Ice Bowl. Thanks for stepping up.

Mini Thumber & CupCake. never enough time to spend with you guys. see next Saturday. love you both,

Tator you are the man you always step up and help out.

To those it was great to see. Alex, Thanks for coming to Greensboro. I always love see you play. and joking wiht you. you Henry really made my day at the skill shoot event at worlds.

Cheebo, james. don't be stranges guys.

And to my Partners you guys where great. I enjoyed every hole. even the pars.

For those that don't know the names just faces thanks this is what Disc golf is all about. having fun, being with friends and making new friends. and making a differance.

Yes it was. Special kudo's to Paul for setting a fine example for all to see. Paul replaces Disability, with probability.Seeks to overcome. Tater, Wyatt, and Mr T(yson), good job.Team Geist had a great time. Thanks to my partners for being patient for playing with a Rec player, your assistance was greatly appreciated. I added another shot to my history book to tell the buddies over drinks pool side at Wigs place during Oak Hollow Open. A 50ft jump putt (see photo of this remarkable leap in an earlier post), sticks in the side of the basket from the speed and power. Lil Cogg yells, "Hurry get it before it falls out", On the slippery surface the wheels began to move faster than the rest of the structure, fall, re-accelerate eventually arriving at the basket to retrieve a birdie. My first stick putt.It probably looked like slow motion getting 310 lbs in motion, but funny for sure. Thanks again Big and Lil Cogg, always a pleasure. It won't be long untill Lil and Big Wigg change titles. Lil Wigg is becoming Lil Bit Big Wigg.See ya Sat, Can't wait. 144 hrs we can do it again.
