Hey one of our locals just got a GPS for his car and he was wondering if there is a downloadable course directory available anywhere for use with GPSs?

I have talked to the Dave at the PDGA about this. He said they would have to investigate the idea. But nothing that I can find right now.
Here is a link to a database for the Palm if you are interested in at least having the course directory availabe.

The 2006 Directory may be available in an Excel file with the GPS coordinates for PDGA mapping calculations. However, I think it's a permission issue to release the Course directory as a database, so that would have to be cleared with PDGA HQ. Maybe just the Course names and GPS coordinates could be released.

This is a fantastic site in terms of the presentation of information. The state files for Google Earth have GPS coordinates for many courses, I didn't check to see if it was all (for California). I like the combination of Google Earth or Google Maps with photos - I'm going to work on a submission for my home course.
I would imagine that these guys have a database of all of this info?

Check out dgcoursereview.com (http://www.dgcoursereview.com) as an additional resource for course info, etc.
