I will probably have a mini after the first of the year. This Saturday might be the last Saturday that I have free until then. My oldest girl starts club volleyball soon and then at the first of the year it changes to Sunday afternoons.

When we do do a mini, it will be 27 holes of normal Nani Falcone Disc Golf. 9,9 and 9. It will be an afternoon thing also. This is also why I am waiting to after the 1st of the year because I don't want to take away from anything else.

Greg, if you want a reason to come to NANI, I cannot give you one if it isn't just to play disc golf. You have to play this course for what it is. And then if you don't like it, make it a more challenging course by doing something different.

I play this course weekly and alot of others do too. Yes I get bored right now with what it is. But I can also change things in my mind, by playing with only one disc or making mando's in certain places. My forehand has gotten much better because I will go out and play only forehanded, and yes, putt only forhanded also. The course is forgiving enough to let me practice this kind of a game.

The reason the course was put in was because of the neighborhoods that surround it, not us who play with a certain degree of skill. When I can go out there and talk with someone or help some kid who is trying to play, then that is the reason to go to NANI. I think that since NANI has opened and not counting the mini's that we have had, I have probably only played 18 consecutive holes maybe a dozen times. Most of the other times I might get 9 in before I am talking to other park patrons about disc golf or giving somebody a disc to play their first game. I used to have about 300 used discs in my garage, that is now down to under 100. I carry at least one with me when I go out there. I don't give as many away as I used to, I talked to the Wallymart just down the street and they have started to carry discs. It's the Frisbee brand, but hey, they are discs.

If you want to play sometime, give me a ring, I will show you the alternate nine and some of the fun mandos that the trees can create.

Thanks for the invite, I keep starting to go to Nani to play, but something comes up. Matter of fact I was at 10 and 1604 when I realized I left my map at home. That was a fun 24 mile round trip. I look forward to complete Alzheimers then every day will be a new day. :confused:

Anyways, my remark was geared at a mini. I've been wanting to play Nani and a mini would be a nice enticement to make that left at 1604 instead of the right to UC or LO. :D

Works for me, I wont be free until that time as well. (That's when Grandma gets off work and then its her turn to watch the grandkids!)

The #5 basket is missing. It was unbolted from the sleeve and then just slipped out. The sleeve is still there along with the carriage bolt.

To me it looks as if the contractors did not properly secure the basket as it was suppose to be. All of the others look ok.

I have notified the SAPAR. I have a basket to replace it for the mini in a couple of weeks if the city does not immediately replace it..

That sux. :( We were just talking about stuff like that happening at the courses. Someone damaged Tee Sign #4 at McClain. We are just going to have to deal with things like these happening at our courses and hope we can catch them in the act one day. Keep us updated on the status of the city replacing the basket.

SAPAR has replaced the #5 basket. Actually they moved it to the right from where is was about 40 feet. THey also replaced the tee sign at #7.

On another note I HAVE the #1 bag tag. Taylor found it a couple of months ago hanging on the #2 basket at NANI. We do not know how it got there,but it is now back. Tell me who had this tag last and I will get it back to them with a challenge attacherd to it.
