I have one suggestion for those looking to compare discs ... I find this guide helpful when looking to compare one disc to another ... but then it doesn't talk back and give you all kinds of silly recommendations like you get there, LOL ;)

I asked a Discraft sponsored guy what the closest equivilent to a Star Wraith was and he told me to try an ESP Surge.

What does the starfire X fly like? Ive never even heard of one until I saw it on a website today.

I've been waiting for this thread for awhile. I actually thought that there was something already out there, but I was even too lazy to do a search for it.

Anyways, I throw exclusively Discraft, and it is annoying when somebody says "yea, a wraith is a good choice on this hole" and not knowing what that would translate into Discraft. I many not throw that same equivalent (for each player is different) but it would give me a better frame of reference.

If others post with equivalents, I will try and maintain a spreadsheet with the information on it. Granted I have no place to post it online, but if anybody would want it, they could have it.

A Starfire-X flies like a slower Teerex (Old Mold)
A Starfire flies like slower Wraith
And a Starfire-L Flies like a slower beat Wraith
You cant compair it to a Firebird as it has more glide and is less wind resistant than a Firebird

the firebird and the pred do not match up...yes they are both overstable, but the pred unless talking about max vs lighter weights don't have the glide. the flick is closer to the fb than the pred.
The closest thing to a max tb is an esp avenger(I throw a 172 and it is closest to the max weight tb.)
the esp tracker is also a good tb at lower speeds.

As a former Innova throwe rI agree with the above! I love the esp Avenger and the Z flash those disc's are money!

I know what you're saying. I have a mixed bag. But here's what to remember.....throw your shot, not someone else's.
But, here's my opinion of Innova to Discraft:
Wraith=Rogue, or Spectra
Teerex=Surge, (or Pulse, but I've never thrown one)
Destroyer=Venom
Sidewinder=Avenger SS
Beast=Flash
Orc=Crush (or beat pred or tsunami)
Starfire-X=Predator (except preds are way better)
Viking=Wildcat
Valkyrie=XS
Monster=Flick (sort-of)
Firebird=Xtreme (sort-of)
Teebird, TL=nothing, to be honest (beat avengers or tsunamis, but they are both faster, or a Z-Wildcat, or a Talon)
Banshee=Tracker (at least the ones I've thrown)
Eagle=beat tracker, or Wildcat
Leopard=XL
Stingray=Stratus, or Beat glide
Cheetah=Glide
Gator-X=Drone
Roc=Wasp, Buzzz
Beat Roc=Meteor (sort-of)
Kite=Beat Meteor
Cobra=???Hawk maybe
Gremlin=Torque
Ont. Roc=Comet (actually nothing flies like a Comet!)
Rhyno=Banger (not really)
KC Aviar=Beat Banger
Beadless Aviar=challenger

These are just my opinions, I'm sure others will differ slightly. Plus with both discraft and innova, stabilities vary quite a bit for different plastics. You'd really have to experiment to see what discs match your throwing style.

the starfire-x is nothing like a teebird! The starfire-x is far faster and far more stable. The teebird is a modified eagle mold made to be more stable and in my opinion the one of the most reliable discs ever made. The talon would probably be closest to a teebird.

after two pages... no one has been able to come up with a comparison to the Innova Ram. Most player have to carry 2-3 discs to support the magic the Ram produces.

(coming from an old Ram lover) The Xtreme mold was close enough for me. Same type cinderblock effect. One Z-Xtreme will last 50x longer than any of the old school Rams. Now, a Ram in Z/Champion would be sweet.

Starfire X is exactly a faster Teebird. Sure it has more LSS because of the speed, but when thrown hard it has a similar flightpath.

The Banger GT would be Discraft's Rhino.

gator---> FLX Drone? nuh uh, not gonna cut it, the Drone glides so much farther, this I know. But thats your opinion...

I think the APX is much closer to the Aviar P&P.

The drone is the only thing comparable to the gator in the discraft line up. nuff' said

I am not familiar on how the apx flies, but today I purchased a pro d magnet for the first time, and so far I have made alot of putts from inside 25. I think it is different than the aviar p&a, but a great disc at that! :D
