What is the ruling on refunds for players who do not contact the TD personally. This has come up in the last two events I have run (A tier and XC tier). I read the comp manual, but would also like to get another take on it. I understand that I am not obligated to refund money if I don't hear from the player? As many of you TDs know, the last thing on your mind during game day is who failed to show up. The money that you have in the purse is secure on game day, is this a safe and/or legal assumption?

I guess your right, I have read the rules and intend to follow them. Let me re-submit a ?. Does anyone else stick to the guideline in terms of refunding entry fees, or is the common play giving into the many sob stories of the disc golf world?

I, personally, will take the circumstances into consideration....BUT that being said....IF you dont, at least, call me.Your chances are not all that great.

I have always refunded $$ as long as I hear from the player before the tourney. Your best bet is to put refund guidelines on your flyer.

handling refunds is always one of the biggest hassles for TD's. it always ends up being more work at just the wrong time that we as TD's don't need.

that being said i usually end up refunding the entry fee if i'm offered a reasonable explanation and i can replace the person in a filled field.
