Can you play both days?

JL19095
Oct 31 2007, 08:06 PM
It is only one tournament. You will have to pick a division you like best and stick with it. If it were two seperate tournaments then you could play both days.

Looks like you are already registered to play with me and DWjr on Sunday. Just asking for a friend are you?

Good luck, see you there!

2 sanctioning agreements and one tournament but you can only play one event despite there being 2 seperate tournaments?

which layouts were played at the yadkinville spring tourny and which order were they in?
Trying to figure out if i've played the stout layout before or not.

Calm down you hockey fans! I know the puck slapping season has begun but that is no reason for you head to still be spinning. You will have to contact the TD to get sanctioning specifics, but I know that both days are considered one tournament.

Come if you can; stay if you must. :D

DW - I always feel that if I beat jr. then I have had a good tournament. Teach them well and watch them lead.

As for the layout on the stout course - I can tell you most everything will be long including holes: 1,2, 6, 7, 9, 11, 13, 14, 16, 17
I think some baskets will be moved at the break (TBD) and hole 10 will probably be a new shot on a temp basket, due to the crowds around the soccer field.

I believe the spring tourny had a mixture of pin placements, but regardless of where the pins are at; A day in the park playing golf is always better than not golfin.

YO baby 2007 - spread the love!

Too bad... I was semi-considering driving down to play both days.

Based on the discussion board commentary, there's nothing in the rules banning someone from playing in multiple divisions on different days.

riverdog
Nov 08 2007, 09:02 AM
Not sure what Mole has up his sleeve or in his post hole digger. He and Todd G. have been up to something though. The Stout course won't necessarily be all longs, but the perceived most difficult positions. Also the opening of the new soccer field east of #10 will affect play and pins on that side of the course. Not sure what they decided over there. It ain't much, but it's all's I know.

I'll pass it on to David, Rocky - yes, he keeps improving. I think all the work we put into the USDGC qualifier showed him the results of playing aggressive but also smart in a way that mere words had not been able to do. That's 2 thousand plus rated rounds and 2 second place finishes in the last two events. Not too bad for 12 y/o.

You know Jaime, I know that was just a joke, but as a Dad and a physician, I worry that people would suspect that given David's precocious abilities. I'm pretty sure that anyone who knows me well enough, knows that is not at all what I am about, but given the nature of all that is going on in sports today, unfortunately everyone is suspect to those who don't know them personally.

It's relatively easy to prove a positive, but darn near impossible to categorically prove a negative. All I can say is that it was never about great disc golf success between David Jr and I. At first, it was about naturally sapping some energy from a very active 4 or 5 year old kid and it has evolved into a precious shared experience between a father and son.

I want him to be happy and healthy, and disc golf does that so of course I hope for his success. Along the same lines, I could never bring myself to spike his Kool Aide so to speak. If someone doesn't believe that, I'd ask them to look at his you-tube video to see how skinny he is - like a normal fast growing kid.

Jeremy - AM (would've finished 2nd in pro)

great shooting by big germ...

however....

this drives me nuts when I hear people say "i would have finished ________ in _________"

So many factors and reasons why that could not be true. Maybe the open pros were on a wide open hole when a huge gust of wind came through and the ams were on a wooded hole? Now all of the sudden the ams play the same hole without the wind and could pick up strokes.

Also, the chances of seeing a really good round in pro are a lot better - if you are struggling, it makes it more frustrating.

Nerves are also a factor.

Trust me, Big Germ shot it up, not trying to take it away from him - just saying :D

Hey guys, I need a little help. I was up at your course for the tournament a few months ago. I had a blast and learned a little disc golf history when I saw the tone poles. I am interested in constructing a tone pole to place on our course in Kinston. Could someone scratch down some demensions, materials, and a sketch or a photo. I have a student that is interested in completing this project with me for a senior project. Your help is appreciated!

Not in the office right now Joe, but maybe I can point you in the right direction for starting a search. The old Y'ville tone poles were made by Tube Tone Concepts. Try googling that and see what you find. If you can't find everything you need PM me and I can fax you a hand drawn schematic with dimensions.
