I found some DX Teerexs in a bin that are totally different than any others I have seen. These are solid stiff with a high dome. Im going to try them out, as I used to throw Beasts similar to these and they would outdrive almost anything.

I "once" had 200 of them....

Here are my findings....

Max wieght discs are typically "flatter" on top

Lesser wieghts (170-172) were VERY domed AND VERY Overstable in comparision to "flatter" tops.

I used them ALOT at the Memorial......"2 for 1" on the water holes... :o

Flat-top Japan Open 150g DX TeeRexes are quite overstable out of the box, and wear into Teebird-ish straight flyers. I find the newer, domey 150-class DX TeeRexes to be quite flippy out of the box, but not nearly so much so as a 150-class DX Wraith.

I think its time that I let the world in on a little secret...The early DX TeeRex, the very stiff and domey ones are the most stable yet distance acheiving high speed discs ever made. A few weeks ago I said the same thing about the new Star Starfires, which is true to a degree. They are much more accessible than the DX teerexes that I am refering to. I recently purchased about 8 more old rexes and I couldn't be happier, they were leftovers from a tournament two summers ago when the dx rex just came out (Rose City Open 2006). They are capable of the farthest power hyzer shots imaginable. These discs truely are remarkable and freakishly stable, if there was a star version of this flight pattern (and I don't think their could be, since the dx is sooo stiff.) than I would buy 25 of them on the spot.

I have one of those Early run DX Teerexs too. Its an xout 175 thats just a double stamp (Spinners on the Green and Skyline Wilderness park) I'm pretty sure these were pre production and CFR only. Mine flies like a dream and I only use it if theres nothing it can run into and ding it up. I know Gottagogottathrow had some left but they were lower weights.
