SunKing has these for pre-order. WOW....I can't wait to throw this thing. My Z-Flashes have been on the backburner due to the release of the Rouge and Surge.

from what i hear, these are the hurricane mold, the same mold they used for the DGLO fundraiser flashes. i havent seen them yet but i would bet they are pretty flippy if they are the hurricane mold.

I have two ESP Flashes...and they are both actually quite stable to slightly overstable. I would compare them to an Orc stability wise. They are definitely not flippy like the z version is.

Wait until you throw a FLX Flash. It's darn near Predator like stable. Just a major pig.

Was the Hurricane ever released to the public? I have seen a couple in Z plastic.

correct me if i am wrong here but the flash, hurricane, and rogue were all retools of one mold. the hurricane became the rogue and the flash stayed the same.
im intrested in trying these esp flashes if they are stable-ish. flashes glide forever. i have some of the original proto esp flashes(the green ones) and they are sweet, i hope these wil compare.

I thought the Rogue was a retooled Surge. Its rim is wider than a Flash.

The Rogue has a Surge top or botom, I can't remember which. TG was sent some proto discs 2 winters ago and we threw them out in a field. One mold made it into his bag, he said its called the Hurricane. It seems to have a similar flight to Sparkle Rogues.

The Rogue is based on the Surge mold. The Hurricane was an early prototype based on the Flash mold that was very inconsistent to run. It did not make it past the the prototype stage.

I just threw them side by side yesterday because I was curious about the difference between the Sparkle Rogues and the Hurricane. The Rogue has more high speed turn than the Hurricane. They were both really fast.

The Hurricane used the Flash mold but was made with a different blend that created more dome and a "poppy top". To the best of my knowledge, the Flash mold has never changed.

I've got a couple of these ESP Flashes if anyone needs one. Both are 174 with the Great Lakes Open stamp on them.

True, the Hurricane was considered a "pop top" flash.

I just got one of these to field test tonight. Any thoughts on this disc in ESP? I remember I had one Z Flash that was good and stable (red, opaque, max weight, domey) and flew about as far as anything else out there. Most of the others I threw were really flippy. I never liked the soft Z plastic (booo Z Flashes and Surges!). I'm hoping ESP makes it fast and stable. Any thoughts from flash throwers? Anyone? My Hero?

In my earlier post, I was referring to the DGLO ESP Flashes. Now I have one of the regular production run ESP Flashes and they are flippy.

I've only thrown the DGLO esp flashes and they are nice. IMHO the best flashes(most stable) are the orange 1st runs Z-flashes. There are also some Z-flashes out there that are flatter and stiffer than the rest of the bunch, those are my 2nd choice.

Isn't the most stable Flash you've thrown that pink FLX Flash that I have. A Hero quote, "I don't need a Flash thats flys like a Predator." :D

The new ESP Flashes are super fast, long, and straight. Now I realize why Discraft liscensed the Rogue to DGA...I threw the ESP Flash a couple of times in the field and ended up putting it in my bag for the tournament. After throwing Rogues for the last year the Flash seemed a little better all around. I was feeling really weak and I still got some really long drives with it in the tournament throwing over water no less...Its definetely going to get to spend at least a couple of weeks in my bag. The plastic makes the disc. I never liked the "soft" Z plastic that they make the Flashes out of. The ESP is stiffer and just as grippy, if not more so. The plastic also makes it faster.

I had a chance to throw the ESP Flash some more tonight. When thrown with about 75% power...to quote Bradley Walker..."Sonic Boom". I need to work with it some more, but this thing could be a bomber for the more open courses.
