We should have had this this weekend. Here I sit, bored. Whats the amount of OB at Richlands this year. I think we should put a mando on the short hole, where as you must go over the trees, with a 10 ft circle of IB. Would be the toughest 87ft hole in Carolina. Welcome to Richlands. Its a Knappy event, yep gonna fill.

Someone finally broke down and got some new shoes for disc golf.....looking forward to this weekend...will be the first time I am playing in this event and not spotting or only being a sponsor...speaking of sponsors, what are the sponsorship levels?

scottknapp
Oct 29 2007, 12:50 AM
On November 3-4,2007 (O.F.D.A) the Onslow Flying Disc Association will be holding the 6th Annual Fall Disc Golf Classic. This is a Disc Golf event sanctioned by the Professional Disc Golf Association. The event will be held at Northeast Creek Park in Jacksonville and Steed Park in Richlands.

This is a family event which brings 75-100 people from all over North Carolina & surrounding states into Onslow County in the spirit of friendly competition. In the past we have found that sponsors have been extremely satisfied.

Disc Golf is an up and coming sport that appeals to all ages, which stresses sportsmanship and fair play.

Please join us in the fun by selecting one of our three (2) different levels of sponsorship.

A. Bronze Level Sponsorship ($30.00): Your name will appear as a sponsor on one (1) hole at one (1) of the courses played.
B. Silver Level Sponsorship ($50.00): Your name will appear as a sponsor on one (1) hole at both (2) courses played.

For further information about our club visit us at www.ofda.us. (http://www.ofda.us.) O.F.D.A. welcomes you to join use in the fun. Thank you for your participation in one of North Carolinas premier Disc Golf events.

If further information is needed, please contact: Scott Knapp, (910)381-4344. Please make checks payable to.

I think a poor form sidearm is the culprit. For me, the wrist, bicep, upper chest, and the shoulder do the majority of the work in my thumber. I stretch out and towel throw before I play. It has been a long year for me. I will definetly rest and then workout in the off season. I am sure the thumbers take there toll though.

Yes, it will be the last event (whether that is One Moe or MoJo or JoMama or whatever its called) and since the dates are not on the PDGA site, I have no idea of knowing what weekend. Hole 13 at Jax seems to have lots of memorable stories.

This the hole where McRee threw a roller and hit that little peg at 300 Ft. and after being shocked he said out loud to the group what are the chances of that and Mitch Sonderfan said 50 50 , you hit it or you dont and where Schwebby destroyed a roller and it was creeping coming to the end of its roll and was about to hit Bert Williams and I hollard Bert look out and he hit the deck in a full duck like it was a tornado drill or something, and then the disc just trickled right by him about 1 2 MPH. HILLARIOUS.

If you could have gotten your disc not to blow out of the basket or not to pick up off the ground once it landed. Some pretty crazy stuff happened that day which I still have yet to witness again. Man that was one hell of a day. Taught me quite a bit.

Better make clear to players what the term "at rest" means regarding the rules for replacing your disc if it blows away.

That was my 2nd event and my only Am2 win. My fav story was watching Ken Hyden get a 16 on #3, the disc kept standing up and blowing back to him. He was still BEHIND the tee pad for his 8th shot.

Carlton Howard wrote a great article about that event in DGWN.

Sorry for the thread drift....

Zonedriven is the official sponsor of the 2007 Tupelo Bay Open.

They have been kind enough to stamp a limited number of Champion fund raisers and Pro Line fund raisers. They are all Destroyers.

Please go to www.zonedriven.com (http://www.zonedriven.com)

Or track me down. I have a very small amount of them. I have:
1 - clear champion
1 - yellow champion
1 - rose champion
1 - neon pink champion
2 - purple champion
2 - neon orange champion
2 - green champion
10 - white pro line

Thank you Zonedriven!!!

Some great couples (friends, teachers, etc) from history
Helen Keller had Ann Sullivan,
Itchy had Scratchy,
Peaches had Herb
Captain had Tennille.....
Now this Captain has his Tizzle.....
It's a story of love, a story of triumph and tragedy, a story of misty eyed wonderment. Growing up from a boy into a bigger boy, Tizzle now has a mentor who can show him the way, the secret to the way of the light. Captain has been looking all his life for his quest. That quest to take someone and shape it into a smaller version of himself. Will he succeed or fail? Only time will tell as these two road warriors take on the world. Let the call of the highway be your map and the joy of seeing alternative couples be your guiding force. Rock on you guys. And just remember, they are probably looking at you and thinking, "Look at that young guy over there that has a thing for older men". We Salute you and Think Pink!

This film has not been rated. Coming to a theater near you. Children and those with weak stomachs are advised to see a less graphic movie with happier thoughts such as Sweeney Todd.

Now who's ready for this weekend? :)

Scottie, I think the womens div might need some adjustment.

Mini Thumber

The reason the womens division looks like that is there has to be 3 in a field in order to get points. For the women to get points at an event, there has to be 3 female players in the entire event. To give out points when there are just 1 or 2 just did not seem justifiable to me. That is why we need more female players at our CPPS events. The rest of the groups usually do not have a problem getting 3 players (maybe advanced masters at a few also as you have seen).
