Last year I put this in the "Misc." section, but it was moved by moderators to "PDGA Tourney Info". So here's this year's projected schedule and contacts. KL

Modesto Nov 17 Tim McClary 209-577-5901
Taft Dec 1 Diane 661-763-4246
Orangevale Dec 15 Bruce K. 916-987-3472
Visalia Jan 5 Chuck Woody 559-635-3472
Fresno Jan 19 Tim Guild 559-297-7475
Hanford Feb 2 Kevin Randall 559-584-1210
Carmichael Feb 16 Ron Brown 916-743-3472
Bakersfield Mar 1 Rocky Brown 661-369-7901
Stockton Mar 22 Kenny Lee 209-601-5513
Finals April 5 or 12 Tim Guild 559-297-7475

If you play in 5 tourneys during the Series, you get to play in the Finals for free. The tourneys from Fresno and northern always fill, so please pre-reg if you plan to play. This schedule could still change depending on the NorCal schedule. Stay tuned for a Modesto flyer.

Hi Kenny,

Not sure if you know the answer to this, but I think it came up last year for one or two guys. Is the requirement to play in 5 events -OR- play in 5 events in a single division (e.g., AM Grandmasters)? As of Jan 1, 2008 I can play Pro Masters in PDGA events, but prior to that must play Pro Open. I plan on playing Modesto and OV as Open, but then need to play 5 more events in 2008 to qualify for the finals--at least that's how I understand it.

I guess the crux of the issue is series points: they do not transfer between divisions. Is it possible that someone with 5 events played could potentially sign up for a division in the free finals but know that they do not have a chance of winning the points prize? I say that's ok. They can still win the cash prize for the finals. But I'm not sure that's "legal" for the CVS.

Thoughts? Thanks!
Steve

It's a mix of long and short. More trees and elevation than Stockton. The course we will play is a mix of lefty and righty shots unlike the front 9 which are almost all lefty holes. Rollers are a possibility. Two shots are over water but short. I've been working on a course map, perhaps I can post it here.

HANFORD TOURNEY CANCELLATION:

Kevin " White Trash " Randall has called it quits. And that's too bad because I always loved the courses he set up. It looks like no one will step up and put this tourney on in Hanford (the home of my first tourney victory in Am. Masters in 1998). Kevin, we hope to see you out there on tour. Nobody blames you for quitting the yearly headache. It's tough being a TD, sanctioned or not. You deserve a break.

In other breaking news: Fiddleneck would like to add our course to the tournament schedule, replacing the Hanford Open. This tourney will be co-run by the Delta Windjammers and the Modesto Area Baskethounds.

You're pretty darned close on these, especially considering that it isn't your home course.

Hole 9: 290 Right or left hyzer CORRECT
Ho 10: 315' Righty tunnel shot CORRECT
Ho 11: Lefty hyzer (it will be in the short position here. 260' Straight to Anhyzer for backhand throwers
Ho 12: 300' Mostly righty hyzer
Ho A: 200' straight over the creek
Ho B: Lefty 290 CORRECT
H C: Wide open 430 over a hill a small green with creek on L side
H D: Wide open 500 creek on R
H E: 250' over creek Righty S shot for me CORRECT
H F 400 OB on Left trouble on right
H G 300' A new tee fixes the basically no fairway problem
Hole H: 450 downhill whatever you got shot CORRECT
Hole I: I think we'll play it in the 370' straight down the fairway position
Hole 13: 325' should be in the long middle position which is a long straight shot with a hyzer finish
Hole 14: easy 265er L or Righty. CORRECT
Hole 15: I think we'll play this from the alt tee. It's still short 250' maybe but more technical shot.
Hole 16: This will be a long (320') straight tunnel shot the onlt disadvantage for a righty is the OB on the deep left.
Hole 17: This will be in the long (370) middle position. One of the best roller holes on the course.
Hole 18: or what we'll play as hole 18 is about 220' with OB on the left and trouble on the right with the basket on the slope of a hill.

HANFORD TOURNEY CANCELLATION:

The bunch of us down here were trying to move the Hanford tournament to our newest course in Tulare, CA, which is about 15 minute southeast. It's called Elk Bayou, it's a par 54, 18 hole course with some elevation, a river, lot's of trees and shrubs, and plenty of holes to show off your technical shots. Some of you may have already tried it out while visiting Visalia. We were trying to keep the tourney down this way to allow the southern guys at least 5 tourney's within a decent commute.

How do you guys feel about that? I'm definitely looking for feedback on this. I've already got most everyone's opinion locally, and everyone love's the new course. But this is completely up to you guys that have been doing this for years, just wanted to let everyone know how we're feelin down here.

Hi John et al.,

I played Elk Bayou about 3 weeks ago and liked it. There were a few things that could cause issues during a tournament (xing fairways, tees), but it is a nice addition to the Visalia/Tulare area.

Tulare is a permanent 18 hole course. The course is brand new, and has yet to be submitted to the PDGA course directory. The course is just off highway 99, 70 miles north of Bakersfield. Take ave 200 exit east and stay on the frontage road going south. The road will curve east and the park is directly on the left after the curve. It's easy to find, although the frontage road can be a bit confusing. If you have any questions about Tulare (Elk Bayou Disc Golf Course) please call me at 559-972-1109

Thanks to Tim, Rich, and everybody else who helped put on this event- I had a fantastic time and would highly recommend this tournament to anybody else who's within a few hours' drive.

The course is really nice- I particularly liked the new 9. Hope you guys were able to raise enough money to cover full installation, although I had no complaints about the natural tees, they held up just fine.

For the stat geeks out there, I punched in everyone's scores who have current PDGA ratings into the SSA calculator and ended up with an SSA for the day of 52.88.

This means that Kevin Couch shot a day of 1042 rated golf, and that Staci Pauly's even par round of 57 was approximately rated 960. Some great shooting out there!

pnkgtr
Nov 19 2007, 08:30 PM
We were wondering about the potential ratngs. Thanks for doing that. So a 1000 round would be what approximately? A 52 or 53 I guess?

bsneely
Nov 19 2007, 11:37 PM
Yeah, a 53 is approximately a 999 and a 52 is a 1008. Not statistically perfect since only about 40 people in the field had current PDGA ratings, but at least everybody played the same layout, makes things reasonably accurate.

Skull was planning on having this tourney at the new Del Paso course; however, there has been a snag in the red tape and right now it is in negotiation stage with the city parks dept.

They may have to reconfigure the course to stay away from the drainage areas of the park. Supposedly, there is some individual that is causing the delay. The disc golfers are pretty positive that the course will eventually be realized.
Worst case scenario for the tourney would be playing it entirely at Little Africa (no problem, if you ask me).
If the course (Del Paso) does go in, there is still the posibility the 2 pools will be playing one round each at DP or LA. None of this is in stone, so we'll all just have to wait and see. We still have a couple months to iron this thing out. Ron Brown knows more, so hopefully he'll chime in here.

I have a question regarding point for the series.

1. If you win, you get 100 points. If there is a tie for first place, do both players get 100 points irrespective of the playoff for the trophy/cash?
2. If there is a tie for any place other than first, do they both get the same amount of points. For example, two players with the 3rd best score in their division (both shoot -11) get 90 points. Then the fourth best score gets 80 points, right?
3. Using the CVS system, once there are more than 20 players, no one gets any points. But isn't there a minimum number of points? Is it 10 points?
4. If you DNF do you get points? How many?

Thanks for the info! I'm attempting to put up some unofficial point totals for the season thus far, and just want to make sure I have the scoring scheme correct.

Merry Christmas!

Steve,John, the times I've done the stats for CVS I always gave the trophy winner the points. No one told me to I just thought that it was the fair way to do things. Concerning other ties though, the players that tie are supposed to receive the highest point amount for the position they placed (example:tied for forth each player gets 85 points and fifth gets 75). I hope this helps.

Steve have you done any of the points for other divisions. Is there somewhere I can check them out. I'd like to do a sort of "unofficial" point standings for all divisions at www.disctribution.com. (http://www.disctribution.com.) Or maybe just tell me what structure you use to determine points?

pterodactyl
Dec 27 2007, 02:06 PM
1st place gets 100 points, 2nd gets 95, etc... everyone gets at least 50 points. Ties get the average of the # of scores that tie. Example [ 2 second place finishers in same tourney get (95 + 90)/2 = 92.5 ave.] Now get to tabulating.

lonhart
Dec 27 2007, 03:52 PM
Hi Kenny,

So I have a slightly different system that I picked up mostly from Koski. I'll give an example:

Name Place Points
Joe 1st 100
Jim 2nd 95
Jon 2nd 95
Jeb 4th 85
Jud 5th 80
.
.
.
Jes 25th 5
Jos 26th 5

So the minimum for showing up and finishing is 5 pts. The best score receives 100. The second best score receives 95 pts and so on in 5 pt increments to the minimum of 5 pts. DNF gets 0 pts.

In this scheme there is no averaging (as Kenny suggested). You get points based on how many people scored better than you. So at 100 points, no one scored better than you (although there could be ties for the best score in a division, and hence all tied for first in the same division should [IMO] get the same CVS points).

In the example above, Joe won outright and gets 100 pts. Then there are two guys with the same score, the second best score in their division. Only one player's score was better, so they both get 95 pts (and not 90+95 /2 = 92.5 pts). So in the scheme I use Jim and Jon get 95 pts each.

Then comes Jeb. He gets 85 pts. But why not 90 pts? Because there are three *players* whose scores are better than Jeb's (i.e. Joe, Jim and Jon all shot better than Jeb). So Jeb gets 85 pts.

And so on until you get to the 20th player and beyond, and all those guys get 5 pts for finishing the tournament. Now that some CVS divisions are so large, it would be better to have points range from 200 pts on down to avoid having the tail of the division truncated. Although the reality is that guys down in the tail end are highly unlikely to contend for the overall anyways... But it's the math that bugs me.

So there you have it. Let me know if the system I use is incorrect. I get the sense there is no "official" system in place, and since Rich was kind enough to do it last year, I opted to use his system with the one exception: Rich would not give 100 pts to 1st place ties and would use the tie-break for the trophy to award 1st and 2nd etc.

And to answer John's question, I do have other divisions and I will post them as I can, which should be this week.

Cheers,
Steve

:D

Another question. I see the points standings, and I see I have the second place for AM2. I know it doesn't apply yet, because we've only had 3 tournaments, but this year we'll be taking the best 4 tournaments for each player to tabulate scores correct? I know it's normally 5 right? But this year is different. So it's not based on total points for all tournaments, but instead total points for a players best 4 tournaments. Correct me if I'm wrong. I almost think it'd be easier to just use averages. For example:

Paul got 2nd, 2nd, 1st, 1st. Paul's average would be 97.5
Jimmy got 1st, 3rd, 4th, 1st Jimmy's average would be 93.75

as opposed to Paul's 390 versus Jimmy's 375

anyway this is all new to me so forgive me for rambling

pnkgtr
Dec 27 2007, 10:26 PM
If you give 50 points to a last place finisher they have less incentive to play another tournament to erase the poor finish from their record. And I don't quite understand giving 100 points to each first place finisher yet dividing the points for lower ties. It would seem that would make for two point standards. To be consistant, three players tied for first place would each get 95 points (and that's not right either).

lonhart
Dec 28 2007, 04:21 PM
Hi John and Rich,

First John: it is my understanding that the overall winner will be based on the top 4 regular season events for an individual plus the points scored in the final. The maximum score is 500 points (i.e. some guy won 4 regular events and won the free finals at Fresno). Kenny or Rich--let me know if I have that right.

Second John: there is no difference in point total vs. average score since all averages are divided by the same number of events. In the above example, Joe Winner with 500 pts has an average of 100 pts. Unless there is a strong desire by lots of players to have means rather than totals displayed, I'm going to stick with totals.

Rich #1: I agree that 50 pts for finishing is too much. Hence the 5 pts I proposed.

Rich #2: Personally, I like the idea of getting points based on the number of people below your score. As I outlined in a previous message, this should be applied to all places (including first). I'm not sure if you were addressing that issue or not. But I'm willing to debate it. :D

Happy New Year to all!
Steve ;)

Mike Lee is in charge of getting the point totals together this year and he's doing just that since Fresno has the finals. His will be the only valid post when he's done. That's the word from HQ.

Thanks Kenny! I'm glad someone will be doing it officially.

I'll still post my version, in the hopes that it does not cause confusion but instead motivates players to do their best and move up in the standings. :D

Next time I see Mike Lee I'll ask him how he's doing the scoring so I can mimic his process.

Hi All,

Below are "points" using the PDGA's NT system, quoted below. I thought it would be useful to compare how the PDGA scheme differs from the one I've used in the unofficial standings.

"Here are some examples:
If you beat or tie 24 players in the Pro Open division at a National Tour event, you will receive (24 + yourself) x 10 points = 250 Pro Points.
If you beat or tie 37 players in the Advanced division at an A Tier event, you will receive (37 + yourself) x 10 points = 380 Amateur Points."

Below is a comparison for Pro Men using the system I outlined in earlier messages, and the one used by the PDGA for points.

First no. = points using PDGA system
Second no. = rank using PDGA points
Third no. = points using unofficial CVS system
Fourth no. = rank using unofficial CVS system

PDGA CVS
270 1 185 1 Shane Robinson
260 2 180 2 Steve Lonhart
130 6 115 3 Mitch Carbone
40 21 100 4 Cole Ledbetter
180 3 100 4 Josh Anthon
30 24 95 6 Mel Mills
170 4 95 6 Gregg Barsby
90 13 95 6 James Costa
110 10 95 6 Josh Sappenfield
20 26 90 10 Chuck Woody
100 11 90 10 Bill Kohler
10 28 85 12 Jesse Chambless
150 5 85 12 Brian Johnstone
70 16 85 12 Josh Cites
80 14 80 15 Patrick Hagerty
130 6 75 16 Michael Tomolillo
70 16 75 16 Bob Pauly
70 16 75 16 Mike Wilson
120 8 70 19 Derek Billings
120 8 70 19 John Johnson
100 11 60 21 Brian Costa
40 21 60 21 DeMarcus McCloud
80 14 50 23 Jason Willis
20 26 50 23 Morgan Vortman
70 16 45 25 Brandon Sy
70 16 45 25 Jason Baehr
40 21 30 27 Dave Burnham
30 24 25 28 Donnie Miller
10 28 15 29 Larry Christensen

In both cases Shane's in 1st and I'm trailing, but that's because we've played two events and done well, whereas most others have played only 1 event. Look at places 3-10 for the interesting differences. Cole drops from 4th place in the CVS system to 21st in the PDGA system. This is because the points generated by the PDGA system are based on the number of entrants. Getting first with only 4 competitors gives the winner 40 points, vs. Josh Anthon beating 17 guys to score 180 points. I think there is a big difference in winning at Orangevale vs. 17 Pros than winning at Taft vs. 3 Pros. But in the CVS system the winner gets the same score (100 pts).

Back in the day, when the CVS was in its infancy and player attendance was generally low (except for a few venues), having a level scoring scheme made sense since it was in a player's interest to go to poorly attended events and rack up the points. This, IMO, lead to growth at the less attended CVS events, and thereby spread the wealth and grew the sport. But in more recent years, most of the events fill up via pre-registration and actually turn players away. While there is still a benefit to going to Taft and Bakersfield (usually non-filled fields), most of the other CVS events are oversubscribed, and going to the most competitive events (e.g., Orangevale) is not really in the interest of players wanting to score big points (but it is in their best interest to play against tougher competition and thereby improve  ).

So I thought I would throw that out there for consideration by the CVS gurus for the 2008-2009 season. I hope people voice some opinions about both schemes (in addition to those from Kenny and Rich! :o).

Cheers,
Steve

Well, somehow, after all the winter weather anticipation, the sun made a brief appearance at the V-Town Open. It stayed dry and mildly windy just long enough to finish the tournament. Within minutes of finishing, the rain started pouring. Mother nature must be a disc golfer.

I was just trying to impress Jeff Michener since he was in my group. I was determined to show him that I'm not a one dimensional player (though he's never accused me of such). So I shot a -8 on the front course -4 backhand and -4 forehand. I only had one blemish on my card all day, I took a 5 on a 735' hole. No penalties.

The players package was a you-pick-it DGA disc. I got a white (dyeable) Shockwave.

Go get 'em in Santa Maria, Kenny (and the rest of NorCal)!

I may no be able to keep the thread from being weak, but I'll post anyway.

I came prepared for some super wet golf, but it ended up being a beautiful day with even a smidgen of sun peaking out of the clouds once or twice. I attribute my good rounds to never having played the course before and so not really knowing what could go wrong and good putting. Luckily for me the course was shortened a bit because of the predicted storm so I was able to compete with Derek who can out throw me any day of the week. Except for a couple of holes Derek played really solid and he held his composer very well through the bad spots. The tree kicks just happened to go my way for once a couple of times and I only missed one put within 25 feet.

Like Rich the only blemish on my card was a 4 on the 705 footer, and even then I had a 50 foot put hit the basket to almost 3 it. I loved the course and the venue and will definitely try to make it to more V-Town tournys. Chuck, John and Neil are great hosts and put on a great event.

This is my first win since turning pro almost 2 years ago (First cash was 2006 CSUMB Open) so it means a lot to me.

Fresno 01/26
Carmichael 02/16
Bakersfield 03/01

Finals 04/05 Fresno, CA

Any chance Mike Lee can have a midway-through-the-series update on standings? :D

1st=100,2nd=95,etc.
Only 1st place ties are not averaged. A playoff will determine the 100 points. Runner-up gets 95.

SCORE-PLACE-POINTS
99 1* 100 *wins playoff(probably splits $$)
99 2 95
100 3 87.5 playoff for trophy only
100 3 87.5
101 4 75
101 4 75
101 4 75
102 7 65

I hope the example helps. Cheers! KL

Ken 'Tank' Franks shot an amazing -11 on the second round, bogey free, to leap from 4th to 1st, then Brandon Sy 2 strokes behind him (-12 overall) and Robert McIntee one behind that.

Beyond that I don't know.

lonhart
Feb 01 2008, 03:26 PM
Hi Kenny,

It's not a problem, per se, but just a different way of doing things. Last year I was pretty good about either photographing all the result sheets or actually taking the completed cards. I then entered several tournaments onto discgolftournaments.com for folks to see.

John has a really cool site at disCtribution, and has been able to post scores etc., but I think he's running into delays in getting scores from TDs. That's why I just brought my camera if they didn't want to let go of hard copies.

Anyways, I appreciate John's hard work on this. I think in the future the heads of the CVS should consider how to more effectively post tournament scores and have series standings updated through the season.

Cheers,
Steve :D

Feb 02 2008, 12:04 AM
Steve, gotcha. What you need to know is that the CVS was created to buck the current trend to mainstream the disc golf culture. I wasn't even playing when this series started. Just passing on some history. Anyway, with the infotrends that occur in our century, people expect to get results on demand. I applaud anyone that goes the extra mile to inform the masses. Go for it.
What I think would work would be a blank spreadsheet that can be filled out at the tourney by a numbeer or volunteers. So I would advise to create a spreadsheet with enough room to get a whole tourney onto it. Lots of ADV and INTs. This "is" a developmental series. Distribute these to the TD's and they can have someone fill it out. Just an idea ;)kl;pterodactyl

lonhart
Feb 02 2008, 05:57 PM
Hi Kenny,

You hit the nail on the head: in this day and age, we expect to see results quickly. :)

Most of the updates this year and in past years have been due to folks (e.g., Koski, Lambert et al.) volunteering their time. I have also thought of having a "final scores" sheet, but I'd rather take a digital image of the real thing than spend time transcribing data. The process of entering the scores into the database takes up enough time, so last year I opted to photograph either 1) the TDs score sheets, 2) the cards in their sleeves (e.g., Visalia), or 3) take the actual cards once the TD said ok.

Next year I will continue to do this, and for those tournaments I always miss (Carmichael, Taft, Bakersfield) I'll need to rely on someone else to get the scores. If John is planning to continue his excellent work on this, perhaps the two of us can work out adequate coverage for all of the CVS events.

And thanks for the background info Kenny! I love the CVS, and it has grown a lot since I started in 2004. I won't be half surprised if in the future there is rebellion within the CVS, with folks saying it's too structured and like regular PDGA events.... :o:D Ahh, the fruits of success! :D

Take care,
Steve

Fresno scores are posted up at disctribution.com . Mike lee sent me a copy of what looked like snapshots or scans of the original cards. I made a spreadsheet and posted them up a few days ago. Check it out when you get a chance. Also, thanks for the praise. I know some people are a little hesitant to the new technology, but hopefully everyone can see the benefit of having local disc golf content to browse through year round.

Steve, we'll probably have to work together to cover most tournaments, if you don't mind. The only ones I didn't make are Orangevale and Carmichael, in which both are maintained by Final9 I believe. That's a benefit because they usually post information on their site that I can leech off of.

Also, I hope nobody feels like I'm stepping on anyone's toes. My sole intent of starting disCtribution.com was to provide a hub for california disc golfers to share event information, videos, and much more. I thought having CVS information would be a useful benefit to many. I did not intend of taking control of or changing CVS, only taking copies of data from the TD's, modernizing it in spreadsheets, and posting it for everyone to see. My aspiration was to get everyone excited about CVS, and recruit people in to CVS that had previously been uninsterested. This years southern tournament numbers started to reflect a surge in interest, as TD's reported higher entry numbers than ever before. I couldn't help but think that disctribution had a small part in that play. :D

Plans for the 2008/2009 series are ONLINE INSTANT CVS registration, CVS tournament video coverage, online tournament fund raiser discs/shirts/etc sales, CVS player ratings included in scores, and much more.

Windjammer Equinox is still on schedule for March 22.

Yes, as you can see from the results - it would have been a playoff for first place in the Intermediate division.

Anybody know anyone who played intermediate who could shed some light on the results?

Intermediate
Mike Brown 61 62 123
James Carswell 62 61 123
Chay Nance 61 64 125
Mike Tomkin 62 64 126

Eric Jones 71 73 144
Tony Freggiaro 71 75 146

Feb 27 2008, 01:03 AM
Hi John,

Unfortunately I'm not in the loop with Mike Lee on the scores, so I don't know when there will be another update. And thanks so much for posting his first update! With Derek's score at Carmichael, I now know he's in the lead for Open, but I haven't looked at any other divisions.

Unlike past years when only a few guys show up for the finals in Open, this year should have at least 8 qualifiers, and hopefully more! That's cool, and again shows growth in the CVS and the sport as a whole.

Keep up the good work at DisCtribution.

Cheers,
Steve

Yeah, I agree, I think this years Finals will have more people than ever before. Almost everyone in Visalia is attending the minimum tournaments just so everyone will qualify for finals. It should be a good finals!

And thanks, I'll try to keep it up :)

That's awesome -- One note about Derek winning on a 50 footer is that he, Josh and Gregg were practicing 50 foot putts at lunchtime.

When I talked to Ernie Valdez and John Lipnisky at St. Patty's they were going to Fresno this weekend for the cvs finals. I told them it was on 12th, but they were sure it's this weekend. If any body can reach them and convince them the correct date is 4/12/08 for cvs finals, I'm sure they'll be grateful.

Any reason why people get points for Am II in tournaments where they played AM III?

lonhart
Apr 05 2008, 09:57 PM
Thanks to Mike Lee for updating the points and to John Lambert for posting them! Mark Farrar and I will be cruising down there. Mark's a lock for the AM GM overall winner (he's undefeated!) and I get to battle with Mel, Shane, and Chuck for 2nd place on down... :o That young gun Derek has first in hand! :DWould have been cool if they'd had more info about him as Rookie of the Year for PDGA in the magazine.

Any ideas on the pots of cash available for the different divisions?

Cheers,
Steve

If you feel like adding the total players that played open and multiply it by $3 you'll have your answer. Some will be subtracted for trophies...but some money was added with the fundraiser t-shirt.

For Masters it's $243

lonhart
Apr 06 2008, 08:09 PM
Thanks Rich! I count about 93 Open entrants over the course of the series, so there should be $279 or so in the pot, and I think there are about 8 of us in the finals, so I hope they pay out to three places...

See you Saturday!

Hello CVSers,

I just realized I do not know when we need to be at the Fresno course for the finals: players' meeting time and starting time? I'm assuming 0830 and 0900 hr but can someone pass along the official times? :D

scores?

Apr 13 2008, 12:53 PM
HI Matt,

I don't know if John is going to post the final scores, but it would be nice. Here's what I recall:

For the day's event Oates wins with something like -14, Billings wins open with -8, Mark Farrar AM Grands, Kenny Lee Pro Grands, and John Lambert AM 2.

For the CVS overalls:
Pro Men = Derek Billings
Pro Masters = Jim Oates (undefeated all season)
Pro Grands = Kenny Lee (also perfect score)

Am 1 = Justin Golliher
AM 2 = John Lambert
Am Grand = Mark Farrar

The trophies were hand made by Becky Zimmerman and look AWESOME! And they went out through fourth place for the overalls. Very classy!

Hot day with afternoon winds, and the course has several holes substantially modified, and all were lengthened. I really like the new holes, especially the mound hole! I can't wait to head down there again and play the course a couple of times in a row. :D

Cheers,
Steve
