Don, thanks for getting this info up online! Looking forward to another great tournament. I'll finalize this shortly but this event is looking to have a guaranteed $1000 first place payout in the open field thanks to some Champion and Pro Destroyers from the Innova tournament fundraising program! These will not only boost pro payout but also make Amateur payout amazing like all DD events! DON'T MISS THIS ONE!
Entries can also be sent through paypal to rusco22@hotmail.com. This will register you IMMEDIATELY. Yes, quicker than TitleDisc and quicker than snail mail. Please add an extra $2 to cover the paypal fee (so that it doesn't have to be taken out of the entry!)
Sponsors aren't locked in yet but it is looking like the following listed below. Please be sure to support our disc golf sponsors and make sure they know you are supporting them because of what they do for the sport!
Play It Again Sports (Lewisville): $250
Tri-Tone Records (Lloyd): $100
Super Nice Guys (Kansas club): $100
Without the help of "Old Man" Tom and Don O'Connell this event wouldn't be possible so every time you see them make sure you thank them for putting in the time to get things organized across the border! If you are interested in becoming a sponsor for this event or know someone who wants to be a sponsor contact "Old Man", Don, or myself.
If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask! I'll post any new updates on here as soon as I have them. Looking to finalize the Lewisville hot stamp this week to get the fundraiser discs in production!

Titledisc has been less and less reliable as the year has gone on. It has been INCREDIBLY disappointing after a smooth transaction last fall on one event, and then a couple of smooth events in the early spring.

I assure you that will be changing shortly. TitleDISC.com is in the process of transitioning to my care. If Dynamic Discs is still interested, I will personally ensure that this tournament gets up ASAP. Things have been moving slowly for titledisc lately due to family and personal priorities for Ben. This is a big part of why he approached me to take over. The change in ownership should become official this week and I promise to get things back on track very very soon :). Thanks for your understanding while we make this transition.

This Lone Star Adventure is a chance to take a fling at a different kind of golf -- on one of the best courses in America -- open around the clock. FOX 4's Richard Ray heads to Lewisville's Lake Park for a round of disc golf.

Registrations are starting to come in! I'm sure that most registrations will take place on Friday during the doubles competition which is fine but I would love to see some more come in before that. I haven't received anything from titleDISC yet so if you have registered through there then just be patient if you don't see your name on the registration list.
Dynamic Doubles will be held at Lake Park on Friday starting at 2-3 in the afternoon and going until dark! There will be a PRO/CASH division and an Amateur/Plastic division. Each division will be $20 per team with 100% payout. Don't miss out on this fun event and chance to register in advance and pick up your players package.
Talked with Jay and Des Reading at the Oklahoma Open and they are going to stick around for this tournament before heading out to Florida for the Players Cup!
Gateway Disc Sports is hooking it up big for this tournament! The winner in Advanced Men will be getting their next $200 in tournament entries paid for! WOW! That is just huge! The Ring of Fire which will take place after the tournament will also be spiced up with plenty of extra stuff from Gateway, Innova, and Discraft! Did I mention that it will be very beneficial to be using a Wizard or Warlock during this to pick up some extra goodies....more details to come.
Players packs are going to be awesome for the amateur players! $1000 minimum first place Open payout! Get excited about this one! Less than two weeks away!

Things are looking great for this weekend! Registrations are coming in constantly! We will cap this event at 200 if it comes to that just to ensure that we have enough day light to get everything done.
If you are planning on signing up on Saturday I would do everything that you can to get signed up on or before Friday to ensure that you will have a spot. I really don't want to turn people away but from the way it sounds there will be a lot of players signing up at the Friday doubles.
Come join us for the Double D Doubles Friday from 2 O'clock until dark. If anyone wants to play in the dark that's cool as well. I will also have the new Black Jax Sports Axe Driver out there which is an awesome LED disc golf driver that feels and flies a lot like a firebird! These are a lot of fun!
Remember that Don Q will be out there both days for lunch so lets support him and eat at the park!
Also, Marq Lewis is coming to play in the tournament but is looking to carpool with someone so if anyone is interested in riding with him give him a call at 918-282-7791. He lives in Tulsa but is willing to drive out of the way a little if needed.
Looking forward to a great weekend of disc golf and one of the best paying B-Tier's around! $1000 for first place in Open! That matches or beats a lot of A-Tiers! Thank Play It Again Sports, Lloyd Sitkoff/Try Tone Records, Don O'Connell, "Old Man", Innova, Discraft, Gateway, DGA and of course Dynamic Discs for their sponsorships in this event. I'm sure there will a few more to come as the week progresses. Take some time on the weekend to stop by Play It Again Sports as they have been a big contributor to this event and are hoping to spark a few sales in the store. The player packs will include store discounts.

What layouts were played? The scores seem a little high unless there were fierce winds or longer teepads played or alternate basket positions played...seems like there should be a few -10's or better from the pros on the standard layout for both courses.

LL Woods had longer tee pads than normal and a couple of baskets were moved longer...Winds were a solid 15 mph to 30 mph gusts. The Lake played the same as always but with high winds. I know I missed 3 15 footers during that last round due to high winds. /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

THe wind was really howling out there Sunday. 20-25 mph it seemed. They set up LL Woods with 2, 4 (alternate basket location), 5, 7, 8, 9, & 15 all had long tees set up for ADV and Pro both days. Sidewalks and beyond were all OB. LL Woods played much tougher than usual.

let's get those ratings fixed... it shows the same layouts and courses for all divisions.
There should be one layout for MPO, MPM, MPG, FPO, MA1. Another layout for MM1, and a third layout for MA2, MA3, FW1. Chuckie, you reading this? :D

Let me know if that looks better. I saw the mistakes....finally came out of the coma that comes along with running these events and got over the TD HANGOVER!
I hope everyone had a great time! If there are any other corrections that need to take please let me know.
Thanks for all the positive comments about the weekend! It seemed like everyone had a great time. I had a great time meeting all the locals and especially getting to know "OLD MAN" even more.
Things are in the works to bring back the $10,000 USAutomatic Ace Run for next year out at the lake on hole #3.
If anyone has any suggestions on what needs to take place to make DD events better please let us know! Can't wait to get some more events in Texas next year. Look for us again in Lewisville, Cedar Hill, Rockwall, and McKinney!
Thanks again to all the sponsors and those who contributed to the CTP prizes. Without the help of "OLD MAN", the City of Lewisville, Don O'Connell, Eric and Liz, Nate Martin, Jake Newell, and my girlfriend Wendy this couldn't have run so smoothly. See you in 2008!

Nope, still doesn't look right. I shot one stroke worse at LL Woods on my final round vs. first round, but have a 17 point higher rating.

Well, how do I need to change that? The wind made the course harder correct? One stroke worse on Sunday was probably better than Saturday in my opinion......let me know.

Actually, with exception to the last 5 holes both rounds at LL Woods he did suck out there compared to how he should play on that course.
Big props to Emac on the big win though.
Think DD should take over all of our tournaments in the metro-plex. No body comes close to runing as good a tournament as these guys.

It looks to me like they're still set up as having everyone play the same course. For instance, a 55 in round 1 for MA1 shows a 916. a 55 in round 1 for MA2 *also* shows a 916 rating... that can't be right. MA1 played lake park, MA2 played LL Woods. To more of an extreme, MM1 played LL Woods from the champ tees w/ tougher OB rules and a 55 is *still* rated 916. I could understand a similar rating, but to be exactly on the number tells me that the layouts didn't quite make it in right.

I have four different courses set up in the TD report.
A: LL Woods "Custom" Long layout for pro/Adv
B: Lake Park
C: LL Woods "permanent" Am's
D: LL Woods "Adv Masters
Pro/Master/Pro Women/Advanced: B,A,A,B
Intermediate/Rec/Am Women: C,B,B,C
Adv Masters: D,B,B,D
Let me know what I need to change......sorry for all the problems.....too much to think about right now for this guy!

Well, I can't look at the way you have it entered since I only have access to the dev site... and the dev site's ratings mechanism doesn't work right :(. I'll send you a PM and see if I can help out
