Predictions?

This needs a sticky at the top of the board, it's a Major, and while it has a thread in the womens section, it needs to be in here too.

I'm thinking Des really wants it this year, since it means she'll be playing USDGC.

I predict the winner will be Angela(returning US champ), Val(current World champ) or Des (former US & World champ).

I think you should have added Carrie in there, just to cover your bases, Suzette. :P

I wish more women would attend this event...Oldman and crew does a great job and treats the women incredibly well.

Im pulling for the 724's woman rep. Alanna Houck (http://www.pdga.com/tournament/playerstats.php?PDGANum=30819) in Advanced. She definitely has the skills.

I'm going to go with Val to win open. She will then hopefully crack an icy cold SPARKS after a stellar victory! WOOO!

The women are teeing off for round 4 in about 30 minutes. They just completed their 3rd round which was at ICC with the pins in the B (long) positions.

Fourth round is the same as the 3rd round so we'll see how the scores improve (or not).

Beautiful weather and a great weekend! All women should be here taking this in. It's awesome.

Is it going to be a 2 person race in the Open field? Burl and Elaine are trying to run off with it but we'll see what happens at McNaughton tomorrow. There certainly is no shortage of great golf being shot!

There is a pig roast for everyone over at the Wallis' and it should be a great time for all competitors and staff. We'll try to get the scores up from the McNaughton tomorrow afternoon. I also hope to get the final 9 live scoring going as well! Stay tuned.

I took scores for the 5th round, open leader card and let me tell ya- these ladies are shootin some serious golf! Had a great time doing watching em shoot (King, Burl, Des, and Angela)...

Highlights include- Des shooting a -4 on the front 9 nailing a few 30 footers and her 2 on hole 14. Elaine King continued her solid play with 4 2's on the front. Burl 2'ing hole 15 was sick. Angela would have had a piece of the course record if it hadn't been for a 4 on 17 and a 15 on 18. The 53 by Des is a new womens course record for McNaughton's white tees.

I played with Elaine earlier in the month @ a B tier, where she played open men...she took 4th out of 20 beating some good players(including her husband!).

she was playing very solid, I am not surprised at all to see her on top here

and a 15 on 18.



I'm not so sure she carded a 15.

any idea how the advanced women played? Our girl from EUCLID was on the leader card. How did Mel do?!!! Hasn't been posted on the PDGA list yet.

Thanks Chuck but I knew that was Angela. I was just literally falling asleep at the computer. That sentence should have been "I can't figure out how to post the picture here so here is the link." I think a fell asleep during the sentence and never finished it correctly!
