I've noticed there is a FLX Pred and FLX ESP Pred, which seems to fetch a higher price and is noted as "limited release"...is there any difference in the two?

Nope - same thing. FLX plastic is flexible ESP plastic. The flx preds are not released into mainstream production yet, so all are limited. FLX XL is now being released though! With the Surge, Buzzz, Pred, new Ace Race disc, and an XL, I'm going to carry an all FLX bag - no more worrying about trees and warped discs!
No wait - I need a very overstable mid like an FLX DRONE!!!!!!!! ;) ;) ;) ;)
And I don't think my Warlock is coming out of the bag any time soon, but the Blowfly or Supersoft PuttR can fill the rubbery flx type void.

I have seen Flx Predators in stores for over a month now, havent bought one yet. I hope they can do a Flx Flick that would be sweet.

I love the FLX Preds... they are so overstable! I bought one at the flymart of BG Ams this year and it helped me cut probably 10 strokes off my score by cutting through the wind so well!

I knew I needed something when brand new Z-Preds were flipping over like little girly discs. The FLX pred did the job nicely. The only downside to them is I couldn't get used to the flexy plastic when throwing a forehand so I only used them on backhand shots.

That's a major problem I have with them too. I think a light FLX XL will fill that sidearm void. For now I'll keep practicing sidearm with the flx pred until I get used to the flexing.

I seem to only have issues with the FLX Pred forehand... the FLX surge doesn't bother me the same way but most of the surges I have thrown aren't as gummy as the pred that I have. I was really surprised when the plastic stayed the same all summer long though, I figured it would get really really soft like all other discs when they sit in the sun all day. I was impressed to see that it stayed pretty close to normal even in the heat!

What about the FLX Challenger?

The FLX Challenger is sweet. I use it for long putts and short approaches. It's still a nice stable putter.

I don't like it because of its flight characteristics. I prefer the Z-Pred. The FLX just seems to have this thing were it falls off quicker than the Z. When thrown side by side, the FLX is almost always a good 30 feet shorter than my Z.

The FLX Pred is much more stable and falling off shorter is just a by-product of that stability. I only throw it in extreme wind but even in BG wind it will hyzer out which definitely fills a void in my bag. Instead of calling it crap, you should try to find a purpose for it. I know I did :p

My orange z-pred is actually more overstable than my flx pred. The distance that the flx goes, I don't really need because I have other discs in the bag for that type of shot. Just because this disc is crap for my game, doesn't mean it isn't useful to others.

I think it is Discrafts most overstable disc other than the Extreme. The yellow and green ones are nasty. Almost feels like a Spirit/Flick combo

Does an FLX Pred skip less than other Preds (Z & X)?

If thrown low and not on a steep angle, yes. If thrown high and on a steep angle, it stops on a dime. I've even had a few bounce backwards after it hit. it looks real weird

Mine is green and its sickningly overstable. I would put it up there with an Extreme. I love it!
