I just acquired a 2001 CE Aviar stamped with this years masters stamp.
It is real 01 Ce plastic and I am told that there were only 25 made....
What is the story on this disc?

was probably in a box that was discovered unstamped. Stamped and sold them as fundraisers for that tournament. it is original CE plastic like the 01 rocs.

How many were sold?
How much did they go for?
Why have I never heard of an 01 Ce Aviar before?
Does anyone throw them?

contact mark at discgolfvalues for the full story.
DGV sold these for $50 each a couple monthes back. its the, "Found an old box of unmarked ce aviars in the warehouse, so lets stamp them and sell them for a ton story."
And 01 ce aviars are real. I had a few from the 01 KCWO and Hero disc.

So what are they worth if they are so rare?
$50?
or more?
What if they possess the same mythical powers that the rocs from that year do?

I throw them! I have since 2001 when the Las Vegas Halloween Classic got the for fund raiser discs. I have lost a few of them. They are great flying Aviars. the one in my bag is beat to fly dead straight. I can bomb it.
The first ones released were gold. The yellow ones which, I believe were the 2nd discs to be released as fund raiser only behind the CE Roc for USDGC. Quite a few tourneys had them Japan Open, Fort Steilacoom, US Masters 01, 02 worlds and various others I cant think of of the top of my head. They sold for $25 originally.
I have a GOLD True 1st run CE Aviar for sale. 2001 Masters Cup black and silver stamp! 159g. $50 or best offer!

sorry, no mystical powers with these. I sold some used ones that were in almost new shape with ink about 8 or 9 monthes ago for about $35 each shipped. I would say $40-$50 would be fair.
