I have an extra bedroom and bathroom if anyone from out of town wants to save some $$$. I'm about 30-45 mins from the course, depending on what time of day you're driving. Send me a PM if you'd like a FREE place to crash.

Discette: Do you know if Marshall Street is having trouble receiving or processing their entry orders? I signed up through MS last Wednesday and still have not been added to the roster. I noted that there were only 33 players signed up on Wed. and there are still only 33 players?

Just want to say there will be at least $3,000 added cash to the Pro Purse of the So Cal Championships!!!! This is in addition to awesome Pro player packages and free lunch. This extra cash is due to the generous sponsorship of INNOVA discs and the overwhelming success of the sale of CFR Destroyers. Many thanks to all of our sponsors and everyone who purchased Destroyers.

The event is open to all players, you do not need to be a So Cal member to play in the Championships. It will be worth the trip.

The So Cal Ams also benefit from the sale of CFR Destroyers with great player packs, lunch and awesome payout.

There is still plenty of room for Pros. The Am event will sell out, don't delay, get your entry in today. Online registration is free at Marshall Street.

There are less than 20 spots left for the Am Weekend of the So Cal Championships. Don't delay, register today or you may not get to play. I suggest using the free online registration to make sure you are in. The player pack for the Am Weekend is awesome and getting better.

Click here for FREE online registration (http://www.msdgc.com/register/products.asp?id=13)

And for the Pros - $3,000 cash ADDED!!!! Do I need to say more?

Hi Suzette, I just wanted to let you know that Nick and I really had a great time last weekend. Nick really enjoyed playing with the junior boys and it sure was fun to watch. We will definitely make that drive again, it was well worth it. Big kudos to you and your staff for a very awesome weekend and it was a pleasure to meet you. Great big thanks to Michelle Wade for letting us crash at her place........Manny

Here are some stats for the 2007 So Cal Championships.

Total Pro Payout $12,622
Total Am Payout $12,661
TOTAL EVENT PAYOUT $25,283

Pro Players 85
Am Players 144
TOTAL PLAYERS 229

The payout amounts DO NOT include the So Cal Series bonuses that have been paid out in previous Championships. Even without the bonuses, this was the biggest payout to date. This year saw the largest amount of players. The So Cal Pro Championships could end up as a top 20 PDGA event.

The size of this event is often lost in the reporting as the Am & Pro weekends submit separate PDGA reports. The combined Am & Pro So Cal Championships surpassed nearly every 2007 A-Tier event in both attendance and payout.

Again, the So Cal Championships are not possible without the help of our sponsors and the many, many, many unpaid volunteers. It is not possible to name them all, but I want to thank each and every one. Special thanks to Innova Champion Discs, So Cal Disc Golf Association and the La Mirada Disc Golf Club.

Remember all current So Cal members are invited to participate in the Year End Event and Membership Banquet on December 9th at Riverside Golf Club. The top finishers in the So Cal Series will be honored along with So Cal TD's and volunteers. Entries must be received by December 1st.

Not just for the payout should there be kudos, but for an exceptionally well-run tourney on two excellent courses. The work that all involved put into the SoCals showed clearly.

You're very welcome, Manny! T'was a pleasure to meet you and Nick and I'm looking forward to meeting the rest of your family. Your boys will go very far in this game/sport thanks to the support you and your wife are giving your boys. I wish all of you all the best and I'll be looking out for more world titles from them! :D

Thanks Michelle. It does take a certain amount of committment, on everyones part, to put that much into playing this silly game. To follow an 8 year old around the course and from tourney to tourney and from state to state takes alot. But it is so well worth it. All the memories we're making and all the new friends we've made (not to mention all the pictures we've taken) are priceless. Thank you again Michelle, we greatly appreciate your kindness and look forward to meeting up with you again soon.

WHY does Mike Brayton STILL have zero points for SCC, a double-points event, when he won the event?!?

Was he disqualified? No one was told.

Mike says his Daughter e-mailed on the 9th, and received a "we'll get back" responce......the site has been updated, since then, and still no word....

Please address this IMMEDIATELY!!!
