Four States Open (http://www.joplindgc.com/images/4stateflyer07.pdf)
Hello again from Joplin, MO! As some of you most likely already know, we have a sanctioned tournament coming up in two weeks. Last year, in it's first year, this tournament drew almost 100 players and was the most attended tournament during that week, out of all sanctioned tournaments. and it was only a D tier! This year it's been upgraded to C tier and we expect just as many disc golfers! I know there's nothing else going on in the area, so please come out and make this a fun day of disc golf for everyone!
we'll have another temporary 18 holes this year, along with the regular 18. some of the holes will be moved around to mix things up, some will be the same, so no excusses about having already played the course! :)

Congrats Champ. It looks like it was an easy win and there was an interesting break in the scores in the Open division.

i just want to apologize to those of you who got home late last night. we're all very sorry for the time issues. I hope no one was too affected by it.
Next year will be much more organized, no doubt. the TD will not be playing in the tournament so that things can get done while the rounds are being played. it will only get better! thank you everyone who came and mostly those of you who didn't complain, despite how hard it must have been to resist ;)
see you all next year!

is that a mental or physical injury? Unfortunately for me my real game caught up with me, and that's enough to cripple anyone :o

No I diddn't injure myself , on the second and third hole of the second round I splashed out for par took bogeys and lost all confidence in my putting the rest of the round my putts for birdies were all short and left by about a foot.typical Jerry blowup. :( not to mention the trees that kept moving in my way

I don't want this taken negatively, I dont know who ran the Joplin thing, but I appreciate another sanctioned event being held.
But I was looking at the numbers and WOW!
12 pros and Coda only got paid $180!!!
Not to fluff my own stuff but I can vouch for these numbers at Stillwater.... 11 Pros....1st place Pro......$370!!!
That is incredible. Play Stillwater I guess, or these Joplin guys just walked with fat stacks....

the difference is 2 day verses 1 day 30 dollar entry verses 60

Not that I know... :o

Well maybe the TD doesn't have the marketing and sponsorship attracting skills that you have.
If the pro's are looking for a silver spoon then maybe they should get a shovel and a can of silver spray paint.... :o
Don't expect big dog payout if you're not willing to risk more dog bones to get it. :p

Amen Jerry, IT still has me around the throat. I prefer not to call mine blowups. Mine are known far and wide as the The Whitley Crumble. Can happen anytime, anywhere and really knows no limits to the depths I can crumble nor how quickly.
