The Salisbury Open is a PDGA C-Tier that will be held on Sunday, September 23, 2007. The event will be held on two 9 hole courses in Salisbury, NC.

One 18 hole round will be held at Kelsey Scott Park, with an 18 hole total of 3,948 feet. The other round will be held at the Salisbury Community Park on a new temporary course totaling 5,048 feet.

The temporary course sits on the site of a future championship course and features 5 holes over 300 feet, with one at 428 feet. The last three holes play around and over a fishing lake on the property.

For additional information, you may contact the tournament director, Todd Gillihan at 336-760-1410 or reach them on the web at www.salisburync.gov/pkrec (http://www.salisburync.gov/pkrec)

The Salisbury Open will be held on Sunday and Slappy's Revenge will be held on Saturday, allowing disc golfers an opportunity to play two PDGA C-Tier tournaments over the weekend at a reasonable price. I encourage everyone to sign up for both tournaments and come have some fun in central NC.

Saw some pics of the temp 9 holes to be played yesterday. Water/lake comes into play on five of the nine holes. Per course designer Todd Gillihan, it resembles a nine hole version of Festival Park as played at OHO. Every hole has been sponsored and some pretty nice CTP's will be up for grabs as well. These temp nine are definitely not your ordinary, sedate Kelsey-Scott holes.
