I used this one to bet on the superbowl with all my Seahawk supporting, yet ill advised glass blower friends. I was pretty confident I was keeping that cup. Not one of them made anything quite as nice for me when they had to pay up.

What I really like is that over 50 percent of the defensive play book is not being shown to the team by coach Lebeau. They are gonna dig into it when he feels it's time. It's supposed to be some revolutionary stuff he's been working on for a long time. I suspect they will unleash the new defense when we get New England.

As I'm leaving Knob Hill doubles last night, I call out "Moraine Monthly on Sunday!" Tim Wright replies with "Sunday's football!" to which I responded the "the Monthly starts at 10:00 am!" :D

football starts at 8:30AM with Fantasy lineup checks and roster moves then is followed up by breakfast of bacon and eggs, maybe some french toast, then at 11:00AM NFL Countdown comes on. Then 1pm is the AFC matchup on CBS followed by the 4pm NFC matchup on FOX. A brief dinner break to sop up all the brew in my stomach, then its the STILLERS onslaught of the PooPattie Brownies.

Was this another "Why did I do this round"?

Unfortunately I couldn't be there since I was in Charlotte playing disc golf in a short sleeve T-shirt in 60 degree weather. Played Reedy Creek yesterday with Lori, my brother and 8 year old nephew. I shot a 44, beating my record of a 49 many years ago down here. The 9-year old tied me on the hardest hole on the course with a 4!!!! And it was his first time ever playing. He's got some game.

Off to play Hornets Nest today, and then down to Winthrop tomorrow morning for a round, and then driving down to Florida.


Maybe I'll come back someday??????? Once the snow is gone.

Yesterday's round at Moraine wasn't anywhere near as bad as the February 17, 2007 monthly. It was still brutal, but I'll echo Sid's comment........."at least I can still walk!"

During the round I left my Destroyer on hole 2's green and realized my mistake on the upslope of hole 4's fairway. I know I wasn't far from the disc, but at the time I did not have the desire (or energy) to walk back and retrieve it! I drove back out there today and found it laying 10' from the basket. Bonus.... :)

There were several Butler boys who played out there today, including Wagner and Wilson. Them boys' crazy!

Super Bowl XLIII Champions!!!!!!!!

It was Saturday's 4.5 hour-long game of wolf in a foot of snow at Moraine that did it for the Black &amp; Gold, baby! :) By the way, Bryan Schlemmer ended up on the winning end of that wolf pack! :)

Looks like after seeing at least one away game per year for the past umpteen years, the streak will end this year, the closest non-divisional game is at Indianapolis. It would be tough to beat last year though: Halloween night in New Orleans; even if the Steelers did lose the game, (just my luck, they went 7-1 away from Heinz Field last year) drowning my sorrows on Bourbon St. didn't suck! :D

Sunday Sept. 18th vs. Seattle is the one home game I am going to try to attend this year. Looks like there is a Moraine mixer on Saturday the 17th which could also double as a LaGrassa Open. :cool:
