I just got my Gorilla Boy bag today....I ordered the Silver back in Camo Print and let me just give GB Chris some props....I unloaded my Innova Tour Bag into my new setup and now my new setup with discs, bug-spray, birdie bag, pencil, etc. weighs about the same weight of the Innova Bag itself!!!!!

I just wanted to put this out for GB because I'm thrilled with the bag...I put my quad shocks on it and it feels real nice!

Some of the great features of their bags include, of course the light weight (made with ballistic nylon) Mount points for Quad Shocks....Covered putter pocket, PDGA card slot and an inner frame to keep the discs off the bottom of the bag. Plus plenty of storage in the Silverback model....I'm sure the Kong model also has plenty of storage...not so sure about the other models.

If your in the market for a new bag, visit http://www.gorilla-boy.com/
and hit up Chris.

At least they put the umbrella straps on the proper side. That is my one beef with my revolution bag. When the umbrella moves it pinches.

Cool bags...I like their expensive small bag with 2 water bottle holders.

The Squirrel Monkey that your are referring to, I just noticed had the hookups for a quad shock....Thats pretty funny and awesome at the same time! I might have to pick up one of those in camo as well to carry to tourneys on short courses.

I don't know how you could get any better than the revolution bags...but these look like a nice alternative.

What would the advantages be over the Revolution bags?

Not sure on weight compared to the revo. bag, but the Silverback I ordered is VERY light even with the internal frame.

The other main advantages is the umbrella strap location on bottom back side of the bag.

On mine (Silverback) the lower mount does not have the normal plastic clip thingy. It is a double stitched loop where the clips hook.

There is no middle-man.

The guy you order from, is the guy who makes them.

More bag for the buck.

I have a Silverback for Tourneys and I use that orange Squirrel Monkey for my everyday casual rounds and leagues.

The water in the TWO drink holders weighs more than my discs and bag...

I am interested in buying one.

Deaf Disc Golf Association will be interested in acquiring a plethora of these bags to hand out to our competitors throughout the nation in 2008.

Direct sourcing for craftsmanship of 1000 cordura. Yum.

Gorilla Boy, send me a PM and let's talk shop.

How many people out in disc golf nation know of this Gorilla Boy?

He posts more frequently on DGR.com. I believe he has his own thread.

I have a Camo/Yellow Gorilla with Green Quads up for grabs. It has less than 15 rounds use. Frame with dividers. Hold around 20-22 discs. insulated bottle holder. If it didn't have dirt on it I could pass it off as new. I'll wash it if you want me to.

I'm pretty sure you can search back for posts of mine, but I have had one of his earlier designed bags for about a year and a half now (medium sized chimpanzee bag), and am very happy with it.

I need the money more than an extra bag. Its agreat bag. If I didn't need the $$$ I would keep it.

The difference between the companies is that when you order a bag from gorilla boy, they make a bag by hand, just for you.

On a different note, you arguably get more features for less money from gorilla-boy.

Not bad mouthing Revolution - they are great bags sold by a great friend of the game of disc golf, but those bags are made by somebody else for Revolution.

Chris Anderson or his kin make every bag when you order it... more bang for your buck with one less level of mark-up and profit.

That said... you are doing yourself no harm by buying from either one of these great Disc Golf Companies.

I just happen to be partial to the "big monkey".

I love carrying the little bags with the Quads. If there is no water on a course or chance of lost plastic I don't need more than 6-8 discs anyway. Those look cherry!

I bought the camo and yellow bag from dgdave. VERY nice bag. I carried it a leagues Sunday in the snow and it was light and held up well to the wet ground. I bought it to take on the plane with me to the Japan Open so that I could pack other stuff along with my discs. Plenty of room for everything that I am going to carry on. I like it better than my friends camo revo bag and I have put on a new Phenix bag as well. I would put the Gorilla-boy above the Phenix for less weight for sure. The truck liner bottom of the Phenix will not doubtedly do better on wet ground. Toss up for me. Depends on what you want I guess.
