Come play two of Colorado's older courses Widefield community park and Pueblo City Park. Both are in well established parks with grass fairways and large cottonwood and pine trees throughout. Widefield has a small creek that comes into play on several holes while Pueblo has a one-way road and a small creek that define several fairways. Two rounds at each course with a star line disc, high performance custom shirt, and other goodies for each in the players package.
Registration is now online @ hcdiscgolf.com. Only paid spots will reserve your registration.
As of 9/1/2007 there is $1500 added cash and $1,500+ of merchandise! Just confirmed a $10,000 ace opportunity for any ace during event .
Past three years have been $10,000+ in total cash payout!
:)
Flymart and check-in is Friday night at Widefield. Directions and complete event schedule can be downloaded at hdiscgolf.com, milehighdiscgolf.org, and coloradodisc.com
It's the second page of the entry form.
Looking forward to seeing you there!

Calling all Golfers!
Need a little fall vacation? Heading west after USDGC? Wanna get one last fishing trip in? Wanna win $1000? Wanna beat Randolph in his home State? Here's your chance to do it all!
Come on out and enjoy the scenery and the people. Always a great time. Not on mountain courses, so it's not just a battle of fitness. Betcha can't play 4 rounds without going OB! Take an extra day and head up Pikes Peak, or fish the Arkansas River, head up to Cripple Creek and test your luck at the tables. Try one of our mountain resort courses, or just enjoy a nice hike in the mountains. Whatever ya like, it's beautiful here, and we can't wait for you to get here.
Cheers,
-Mike Randolph

There's brief info and course maps available from the Colorado Disc (http://www.coloradodisc.com) page.
Widefield is a "woodsy" for the front range course, but don't expect NC woods... Mitch and I still consider it pretty wide open. It winds along a river bank that comes into play on most of the holes. I'd put it on distance with Cedar Hills in Raleigh.
Pueblo has some trees, but it would be considered "wide open" by NC standards, except a few holes (maybe 2). There are 2 tees for every hole, and the pro tees are probably comparable in distance to Zebulon.
I'll think about it today and come up with comparable NC courses...

HAHAHAHAHAHA! Funniest MTL post ever. I'm a girl :obut a TARHEEL born and a TARHEEL bred, and when I die, I'll be a TARHEEL dead.
So yeah, with more thinking, I was good comparing Pueblo to Zebulon. Widefield is its own character though thanks to the entire course making excellent use of the creek. I keep getting stuck on comparing it to Cedar Hills, but it plays a little more difficult and a bit longer. However, if you come expecting Cedar Hills, you're going to be quite shocked because it really is nothing like it, even though it is like it... are you confused yet?
Here's a photo (http://www.milehighdiscgolf.org/random_photo.php?photoID=367) from Widefield, but it happens to be an angle where you can't see the river death just to the right (and by the way, that's probably a pretty bad shot unless that disc is really flippy). And you can't see that there are actually a bunch of trees around. So, all in all, that's not a completely accurate representation of Widefield. But what do you expect with a sample size of one?
There are quite a few from Pueblo on the Mile High site... just go to the photo search (http://www.milehighdiscgolf.org/picture_search.php) and type in "pueblo"

And thanks to mitch for paying my entry fee :) Even though the weather on Sunday left something to be desired (I'm pushing for hot chocolate in the water coolers next year), I had a blast FINALLY getting to play a tournament.
