What if I were wanting to drop down divisions and start playing with the opposite hand. How would that work, obviously I'd be way worse than my current rating and also it would affect my current rating.

Since there are players who play with both arms, there's no different rating, just a gradually worse one. We don't really worry if players fiddle with their rating by tanking or playing opposite handed because it costs more in entry fees to do that versus what you might win in merch in the lower division before bouncing back up again. Plus most players don't even know on a course what they need to shoot so the round is still counted versus being dropped, which of course would not drag your rating down.

Diabolical to even think of in my opinion. I just started switching arms for fun.

You might consider getting a separate PDGA membership for Tracy "Lefty" Ruder and register under that name when you plan to play opposite handed.

play casual doubles with yourself :D:othrowing one shot lefty, one righty. Or, compete with yourself, righty vs lefty. When your unnatural hand is almost up with your natural one, then start playing tournaments.

I've been switching for about 2 years now, don't plan to formally play lefty ever, but it sure comes in handy on some shots.
