www.discgolftrader.com (http://www.discgolftrader.com) has some photos of CE discs that they put into runs. I've found it to be pretty useful.

from my understanding if they are solid red, and you can't see through them at all, then they are 1st runs. But I have also seen other colors that say 1st run on ebay as well. I would move this question to the ask Dave from Innova thread.

I have heard of a lime green as the first run, but from what I have been told, the red was the only first run, and the lime green was second run. Dont quote me on this, but that is what I have been told.

I do know that they moved from solid colors to opaque through the progression of the runs from the 1st to last

The person to ask is Mark at Discgolfvalues. Very first Valk was blueberry, most were destroyed. Then the blood red for Valk, Firebird, Eagle and Teebird. Day glo on the Leopard. That's how I recall it.
Pretty sure Dave was around, since he's a Founder of Innova.

I bought a bunch of the CE when they were first released. I bought 50 each of the eagles and teebirds, and 25 ea of the firebirds and valkyries.
Eagles came in red and white (reeeeeealllly stable)
Teebirds came in red
Firebirds came in red
Valks came in red, and a very few blue (perhaps the blueberry referred to above)
A few months later we ordered more of the eagles and they came in a bright yellow/green and we were told they were the 2nd run.
Not sure that the colors were consistent across all the molds they released. I saw some rare color gazelles and such - but not much variation otherwise.
If you have someone claiming first run CE - ask them when it was produced - the first runs were produced on or before March '01

Yellow was the predominate color for the Eagles. All else looks correct.

My only 1st run Valk is much more of a teal than a blueberry, FWIW.
My two 2nd run f-l-a-t Valks are a heavy white and a 157g light blue with lots of swirls. No, they're not for sale. :)

Does it "color change"?
Mine will turn different shades of blue depending on the angle I hold them at. I have one that is VERY dark blue, but when held up it goes to almost sky-blue. I have three and all are different shades. I also have a Silver Valk, it goes from silver to deep purple to blue. Its the only one Ive ever seen.
There are also blood red/ maroon Proto Valks, done with no stamp. Most were light, under 165g. Des Redding had a whole box of them that were leftovers from the test runs, or something like that.
When our club shipment came in, everything was blood red, with the exception of Eagles, there was also dayglo Eagles.
Shortly before those arrived, the hybrid SE TLs came. They were dayglo, red, and a few white.
.....Im on the lookout for those.

Nope, it's a solid darkish teal...not 'blueberry' at all.
The light blue semi-translucent 2nd run is amazingly cool with swirls of green mixed in. Quite possibly my fave colorscheme ever!

That would have been the short run of black Cobra's sold at the World's in Flagstaff. They had gold as well.

They are both black and both spiders. I checked out the one with the hourglass and I think someone had tried to make the hourglass with a red sharpie (used the rubbing alchohol trick to find out)...haha. Otherwise the plastic is definitely black.

If its a spider, its dyed.
I have been throwing them since they came out and grabbing them every chance I get as backups and have yet to ever see a factory black one. I have seen them dyed though.
I have pearl white, green, purple, red, blue, orange but no black. /msgboard/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
