Jerry, is that the reverse view of hole 13, from the A-pin, I assume? Are you guys moving this hole to the B or C pin to make for a true pro par four?

that indeed is a reverse view of Hole #13 Jeff. The pin is currently in the B position and I believe it will stay there for the tournament. How long has it been since you've had a chance to play the DLDGC? I'm sure there are many locations in play right now that you have not hukked at yet!

As Josh has previouslyconfirmed, the image above is a reverse view of 13 a-pin, however, the basket is currently located in b-pin. I do not believe we've cemented the c-pin sleeve yet (the same goes for 14c and 15c, if I'm not mistaken).

The course is really coming together. Though we haven't had a large turnout on our Thursday night work days (shame on those of you who have not lent a hand... :(), the small group of the same 5-6 guys have done a HUGE amount of work to make several holes playable and more enjoyable.

There is a work day this Thursday night, September 13. We will meet in the upper parking lot near hole 17 around 5:00 pm.
Volunteer course work equals good karma come tournament time. ;)

If you've been to Pittsburgh and you like Knob Hill and Moraine State Park, wait until you see our newest addition.....the par-66 Deer Lakes Park in Russellton, PA. This 18 hole layout has it all....three sets of tees (red, white & blue), a wonderful mix of hole design with lots of shot variety and some of the most challenging greens in the 'burgh! Volunteers have been working diligently on the layout this month and the course has never looked better. Though three sets of concrete tee pads are planned for next year, natural tees will be utilized for this event.

Tournament info can be found here. (http://pfds.org/#2007_TheHunt) The format will be two rounds of 18 holes. Pros will play blue tees, advanced will play white tees and all other divisions will play red tees. Mark your calendar for Saturday, September 29! :D

From the desk of J Gary Dropcho:

Plenty of room in the field, but better use Paypal to register now because it is too late to send money via post, and a $5 late fee begins Friday. Of course, you could avoid the TAP (TD Annoyance Penalty) by registering during Thursday's work day when you help put the finishing touches on the course

Entry fees are friendly and ams get a choice disc for entering. Recreational players will play from Red tees, Intermediate and Advanced from the White tees and Pros shoot from the Blues. Pins are a mix of mostly B and C pins with a few tasty A pins thrown in for ace/eagle runs. Par is 66 and we hope to get some good data to calibrate tee positions for when concrete pads are poured.

Hope to see you sooner than Saturday! Visit pfds.org for maps, scorecard and directions to the park.

For registration form, please click here. (http://www.pfds.org/docs/TheHunt_Flyer.pdf)
