Funny info....

Look at the flash pictures on that site. Is it me or is Cale using a putter that still has the sticker on the bottom?

I thought that isn't allowed?

Weird it popped out at me..... Not complaining just funny to see a Pro with that.

Look into any perspm who throws old Discraft and you will see the "Proto Weight Sticker" seen at the bottom of the page http://www.par72discgolf.com/_Timmy+Gill+bio.html

This was on Cyclone, Magnets etc... The sticker is legal if it came from the manufactureer and does not alter flight.

ok... I was told numerous times doesn't matter who's sticker it is; it can't be on the disc.

I was informed wrong I guess.

Is this an actual typing mistake on the TD's part or all just a joke?

I think the TD is trying to pad the field to make it look like more players have entered. I've heard of other TDs using the real names of players who haven't actually registered and paid yet to make their reg look better.

It reminds me of a great book called "Letters from a Nut' written by a guy named Ted Nancy who is rumored to be a pen name for Jerry Seinfeld. It s a bunch of letters written to corporations. My favorite is the one to Coca Cola, where Ted tells them he has made up a new drink called Kiet Doke, and he wants their permission to use that name. The Coca Cola Trademark Counsel responds, in strong language, basically telling him he must stop producing his Kiet Doke. So, Ted responds by saying that he agrees it was a stupid idea to call his soft drink Kiet Doke, and so he is immediately pulling it from the supermarket shelves. Instead, he is going to offer a beverage called Piet Depsi. No response from Coca Cola. Perhaps they got it by Ted Nancy's second letter. Check it sometime.

I believe It was Rum Jugs that started mixing the first 2 letters around of people names..

At Worlds this year, the first couple days I stayed in the Minnesota house. We started swapping letters and came up with some funny ones.

I beleive I have the best one of all time..

FROY canidate: Katy Schreder
Schaty Kreder (Shady Crater)

We laughed for weeks about that one...

We still love you Katy... :)

I actually can't believe there is a thread about our funky Friday tournament. I was bored so I entered Larry Schultz. On our local discussion board people started throwing out names so I started adding them.

Pro Entry $10.00-> 12 players.
Adv Entry $0.00 -> 49 players.

Time to start streamlining divions & lowering entry fees :confused:?
