'Lo Tyson. I'll give you a Fontana report when I get back. My 82 year old mother will be visiting and is looking forward to the golf cart accompaniment on a round or three. She's a pip.

Had a big time at the Fontana Village course Friday and Saturday. Challenging course with, as you would imagine, elevation galore. Initially renting a cart was a concession to showing my mother around the course and village, but I gotta tell you boys, a cart will add immensely to your enjoyment of the course. Not due to long walks between pins and tees, but there is most definitely elevation to deal with, and those of you who have played Ramcat will know that I don't pass around that term lightly. Also, even the mountains weren't immune to the heat and the more open holes were sizzling. Some pretty unique looks and some big air tee shots on the layout - #2's 500' plus wooded anhyzer with OB road on left and ankle busting shule on the right, #4's steep downhill anhyzer, #8's big air through the woods downhill anhyzer, #10's pin at the end of a long, mostly open uphill, sink the putt and then turn around to one of the most dynamic views in North Carolina disc golf, #11's tee shot on a long downhill hyzer right into that view........ I could go on, but you're just going to have to get there and play it for yourself. Good job Pat!
