I'm planning a little roadtrip from Texarkana to Nashville, and I'm trying to figure out which courses I'm going to play along the way. I'm going to stop in Memphis on the way there, stay in Nashville for 2-3 days, and possibly drive up to Bowling Green for a day. The only course I've already decided to play for sure is Cedar Hill in Nashville, but I'm considering these too:
Bud Hill - Memphis
Meeman-Shelby State Park - Memphis
Seven Oaks - Nashville
Kerieakas Park - Bowling Green
I'm just looking for some feedback on other courses in-and-around those 3 cities...I really enjoy rugged, scenic, wooded courses, but even more important is a good challenge. Time for all you locals to speak up and represent :DPlease post any pics (or links to pics) if you have 'em.
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

If you like wooded courses I would also recommend Hobson Park in Bowling Green. Symrna and Murfreesboro just south of Nashville are both mostly wooded. The four courses you picked are also good picks.

When in Nashville, you have to play Cedar Hill, best course in TN I have played.
If you can, play Bud Hill, I have not had a chance to play it, but i hear it is good.
The 36 holes in Shelby Forest are worth the trip. Stop at the local store and eat lunch or buy a drink, they are friendly folk.
Henderson and Sanders Ferry are not as good in my opinion as the two south of town mentioned already.
I have not made the trip up to bowling green yet. i hope to next time i am in Nashville.

I like Orgill Park in Memphis. Bowling Green has so many good courses.

Rusty,
Don't know anything about R-Kansas or Meomfis, although Bud Hill always get good press.
Nashville area? My top recommondations
1. Cedar Hill - just plain hard to find a better course. Bit tough to navigate between holes. Otherwise usually marked well.
2. Smyrna aka Sharp Springs. Well done. Nice variety. Great fun factor. Don't play on 08-12 because of tourney. Bring deet. BTW, great crowd of golfers.
3. Hendersonville aka Saunders Ferry. Great new placements. A bit open, but some great holes. Still great fun points.
4. Sorry, but 7 Oaks is take it or leave it for me. Course is above average, but I take off points for atmosphere.
Bowling Green ? IMHO
Most fun. Hobson Grove.

When are you coming to Nashville? Might be able to hook you up with a course host.

Rusty,
Dooh! I left out Keriakes in BG. Great course. Velcro Cedars make it challenging. Very nice.
Ignore Bryan's comments about Hendersonville. He got it mixed up with Rowlett.
