Is there such a thing? I'm quite tired of going online, shopping for discs, ordering them and getting a call that they don't actually have those discs.

I admit, Im bad about keeping the site updated, especially in the summer. If you call I can let you know whats in stock at the shop, as theres so much product coming out in the summer its tough to keep up with it all, and with whats going out the door. We do tourneys also sometimes, so alot can go real fast, meaning it was here Friday, but its gone on Monday.

Yeah I know what you mean....I stopped shopping online because half the time you don't get what you order.
For online shopping I recommend going to Twisted Flyer.com (www.twistedflyer.com) or ebay....joe rotan keeps his site updated with the latest and most up to datest.

I'll agree with www.discnation.com. (http://www.discnation.com.) There stock is usually 100% up to date and the staff is great. I order online and have even checked the inventory before going to the store, it was the same.

I have made purchases from the following online stores multiple times and have never once had any problems. Often I received little extras from sunking and gotta go gotta throw. Much appreciated! All of these stores packaged their products well for delivery and shipped the items quickly. Usually they communicated when they were shipping the items. I do not think that there is anything that could not be found between these five sellers. Other than ebay and local sellers I have not needed to look anywhere else for the last few years.

Thanks to all the folks who mentioned us. While I normally shy away from promoting our store on the message boards, this issue is exactly why I founded Disc Nation (http://tracking.searchmarketing.com/click.asp?aid=65476235) many years ago. Back then I, too, was frustrated by the on-line shopping experience and receiving items that I did not order. So, we made it our mission to do things differently.
First, we set out to create the first disc golf site with real-time inventory. To this end, we've spent a great deal of time, effort, and money developing systems that manage our inventory with precision across all of our locations. As Scott mentioned, the inventory you see on our site is the exact same as you will will find in our Austin Texas Superstore (http://tracking.searchmarketing.com/click.asp?aid=65477146), with the exception of professional baskets. Every item in our inventory gets a bar code when it comes through the door, and discs are bar coded by color and weight range (i.e. 170-172g/Bright), which is how you order and how we pick your order. Period.
We know how upsetting it is to customers when they receive the wrong item, so every order that we send is checked no less than 3 times. In fact, our picking system verifies each item against the order as it is scanned, virtually eliminating picking errors.
Next, we focus on getting your order out the door fast. In fact, we ship over 98% of our orders the same day or the next business day. Very rarely we'll receive an order for a product that is not in stock due to an error (we're only human) :o. When this happens, we contact the customer by phone or e-mail so that we are sure to send an acceptible substitution. <u>We will never send you an item you have not ordered</u>, unless you have approved the change. When we ship your package, the data from the order is used by our shipping system, elimiating the chance for a keying error on the address. Like all good eTailers, we send you an e-mail with your order details when you submit your order and a separate e-mail with an on-line tracking link when your order ships. All of this for just $5.99 flat-rate shipping and handling! Baskets are $25.99 per order (not per basket) and express service is available at an extra cost.
Finally, we know that all of this does not mean anything unless we have the product you are looking for. Our stated goal is to have every disc in every weight in stock every day, and we believe we are the only company that works toward this goal daily. While this is not always feasible, as of this moment we have 403 different models of disc golf and ultimate discs in stock and ready to ship and maintain an inventory of at least 10,000 discs daily. We also offer customers the opportunity to add a note to their order with any special requests for colors or weights. We read every note and put a response right on the receipt about what we could do to meet the specific request.
If you have not had a chance to check us out yet, then we'd welcome the opportunity to show you how we do things. You can visit us on-line at www.discnation.com (http://tracking.searchmarketing.com/click.asp?aid=65476235), or in-person at our Austin Texas Superstore (http://tracking.searchmarketing.com/click.asp?aid=65477146) or Twin Parks Country Club Pro Shop.

I just placed my first order with 'Disc Golf Center' after seeing the AD at the top of the DISCussion stating that you can order exact color and weight. I like that option, hopefully their system is accurate and I receive exactly what I ordered. Free shipping to US too...
