I haven't played a ton of courses but:

18 Hole: Oakwood (MN) Nicely wooded course with good elevation changes and requires good tight throws. Also has a some long more open holes.

9 Hole: South Park A lot of the holes are 300 ft but all play longer due to elevation. fairways are pretty tight but not overly difficult. I can throw a +2 on this course, better players are tossing -3.

Idlewild/ Burlington, Kentucky.

Scenic, water, thick rough, true par 72, requires you to use every shot you have.

I second that! And if you pass through Louisiana along I-20, there's a great new course at Lake Bistineau State Park just east of Shreveport.

Lester Lorch Park in Cedar Hill, TX is one of my favorites, but I don't know if it's the same caliber as some of the other ones I see people listing. Fun, scenic, secluded, disc-golf-only park.

By far, the course that would give you a woody on every shot,.....

Idlewild

The Pebble Beach & Augusta of DISC GOLF

2nd would have to Twin Parks Country Club - Park Shire,...
sure I see it everyday but it's still pretty and fun! :D

Knob Hill course in Pittsburg was an amazing course. Can't wait to play the other ones people are mentioning. De la Vega in Santa Cruz is what original sparked an interest in finding and playing other magnificant courses. I was fortunate enough to play in Maui on the Haleakala volcano. The course is called Poli Poli. Unbelievable views, trees, and overall disc golf experience. Steve Welch (Hawaii's disc golf rep) and friends, were nice enough to pick me up and take me to the course. Like I said, UNBELIEVABLE.

No doubt that Ashe Co. Park in Jefferson, NC. should be on everyone's list, and someday it will. All you have to do is play it.

It's a fairly new course in a small rural community in the beautiful Appalachian Mtns, 30 mins. north of Boone, NC./App State University. Ashe Co. is in the far northwest corner of NC. It borders both Tenn. and VA.

Harold Duvall/INNOVA DISC GOLF, myself, and many others have been working on this course for 4 years now, and it's a super cool monster. Total par is currently 60 from both the Am and Pro tees! INNOVA ROCS!!! Because of them, the course now has super 6x12 concrete tees!!! This course is what disc golf is all about.

You will soon see, www.highcountrydiscgolf.com (http://www.highcountrydiscgolf.com)

Get there when you can!

Of 102 courses played in 22 states, my top 5 are

Gran Canyon (Brooksville, FL)
Stoney Hill (Newberry, SC)
Still Waters Farm (Govan, SC)
Earlewood Park (Columbia, SC)
Hampton Park (Charleston, SC)

They range from 10,000 feet to 4,200 feet....from huge hills to completely flat....from O.B. on almost every hole, to none....but the most common denominator is 3 are private courses and a 4th, the annual temporary course in Hampton Park, is like a private course in its opportunity to use features that would be unavailable in a regular public park.

Sadly, another common feature is that I can't play 3 of my 5 favorites.....2 are closed, 1 only exists one weekend each year.
