I played the Haltom City course yesterday. The holes I played were pretty cool. It was somewhat hard to find my way around. I played #3 tee to #6's basket I think since I didn't see #3's basket. Then I just kept going and later realized where I think 3's basket, and holes 4, 5, and 6 are. I saw that there was some spray paint to help navigate, but most of it had washed away. I think an updated map would help immensely for newbies at the course. Then again, it looks like the back nine were just installed. Also, was #12 supposed to be gone? I saw the tee pad (by the obnoxious dog and lady with a flowery mumu), and where I thought the basket would be (near the pieces of wood nailed into the trees, as there was a basket sleeve next to them not yet installed). I hope it wasn't already stolen!

I think this course has great potential. Lots of roller opportunities. That small ditch will kill them if you don't hit the ground just right!

I talked to Brandon Melton this weekend at Mr Jims and he said he is still waiting on 2 baskets and was using his personal 2 on the wekends to fill the slot until the 2 remaning baskets can be obtained and installed

the back 9 is not like the front 9. they didnt have as much room back there, but they are new holes, so thats cool.

One of the back nine is the practice basket and one is a personal. Last I heard B is still waiting on 2 of the back nine.

What's the deal with hole 6 at the course dalton? There seems to be a giant tree around the bucket. If the city can remove the tree they will probably need the bucket out of the way. They may remove it with the bucket in place but might tear it up at the same time. Just a heads up, Don't let the bucket get CRUNCHED! ;)

Is this the "uber cool" basket Lee Letts is speaking of? Is it hanging?, or is it more like Pease Park's(Austin) elevated planter basket?

The elevated basket is 17 or 18. Wootang is talking about a fallen tree in front of hole 6 that needs a litle clearing by the basket

Funkytown Flyers appear to be off to a great start. Nice showing on a chilly New Years Day morning. Anxious to hear the numbers and $$ raised today. Surprisngly fun and challenging course too. The company of Brice, Miles, and Sandals made it even more pleasurable. Happy New Year!

I hear Haltom city might start a Saturday mini. Any truth to this?

Jerry Seabolt told me that he doesn't want to run Crowley Saturdays anymore because he is going to start running Haltom minis on Saturday afternoons. I think he wants to run minis at both courses in Haltom City.

He told me he wanted to alternate them!
