Had a quick question...is there any rule that says a TD can choose to allow or not allow a player to play in a tourney due to their views toward that person. i.e. The TD doesn't like someone cause they were cheating with his wife! So he won't let him play in a tourney? Anyone know anything?

um....well, if I were the {alleged} man involved in the cheating, I'd probably just steer clear of the TD on grounds other than DG. But no, there shouldn't be anything allowing that scenario, given that everything else is on the up-and-up (dues, entry fees, etc)

wierd.

the rules say nothing, however, as a businessman, you can refuse to provide service to anyone (outside of those conditions protected by law). Not what I would do, but it is his choice....

I recall a similar thread from the Seattle area a few years ago.

The competition manual states that all eligible members will be allowed to compete, and the sanctioning agreement says that all non-members will be allowed to compete if they pay the $5 temp member fee.

The exception is at the bottom of the first page of the sanctioning agreement where you list any local conditions that would prevent an otherwise eligible member from competing.

If that is approved, then you are good.
