I throw CFR Wraiths, so I wanted to try a Star Wraith, when it first came out. Didn't like it, was a bit too overstable for me. So it went in "the box". For some reason, I put it in the bag the other day and played it for an entire round. Now I really like it, cause it is more overstable! Happen to anyone else (with other molds)?

This happens to me frequently. Most notably with my 174 Star Teebird. It was so overstable when I first bought it that it basically flew like a slower Firebird and I just shelved it. I later found a use for it as I developed more power and broke it in to the most consistent straight/overstable driver in my bag. Now I wouldn't play without it.

That is why i'm usually weary to sell my used plastic. I do find though that mids and putters all behave similar enough that you can find a use for any one. Drivers are more finnicky (have more distinct characteristics) though and I find more success with a few driver molds that I stick with. I tend to find only a few drivers that I really love.

Cyclone. It's the disc that really got me hooked on DG in the first place. Recently I was looking for a disc to fill the gap distance-wise between my midranges and current drivers. Bingo! The Cyclone is perfect. Now I'm wondering why it ever left my bag in the first place. Guess it's easy to get caught up in the hype of today's "ultra-long range" drivers. :o

Orcs - originally found them kinda finicky in a Valk kind of way...now they're likely my longest go-to drivers.

When I started playing a few years ago (played before that but not seriously), I was told to learn to throw/control a Roc by my friends. I had a really difficult time learning it.
However, after I learned more about grip, and some technique, I started throwing it again. Now it's my $$ disc.

The Comet was this disc for me. When I first started I had a friend give me one and it worked great for me. Then as I started to learn the game, get more power (but less control) the comet was taken out of my bag. A year or so ago I grabbed an X Comet that I had sitting around because I thought it might be good for a particular shot on a particular hole. It turned out to be the best thing. It'll hold whatever I put on it and glide forever. It's the ultimate touch shot disc. Now I've got an ESP Comet in my bag and have been very happy with the results.

When I first started playing I possessed power without control. CE/Z plastic drivers were relatively new and I heavily favored them because of the frequency and velocity with which I was hitting trees. The release of the Z Buzz was a big deal for me and it was the first mid I really learned. Some time later I got caught up in the romanticism of the Roc. After stubbornly struggling with the Roc for a year and a half or so I went back to the Buzz and it felt like home.

I struggled with the Wizard surprisingly for a while. I had several over the years, and would put em in the bag, but didnt like the stability. Anyway's, I decided to try it again and stick with it for a few weeks, and now its the only putter I throw.

I got an avenger at the 05 friz and lost it after about 4 or 5 throws and just wrote it off as the discraft teebird. I got one about 2 or 3 weeks ago on a whim and am really loving it. Its slightly longer and slightly more stable. Not totally convinced its staying in the bag, but the way its going, it has a very good chance.
