Anyone have experience with the Quest Odyssey Ultra Long Range Driver?

Of course,
they go far especially for players who throw around 40 mph.
The Odyssey line was originally developed for new players as a set that could be sold to the big box retailers.
This is only the beginning of what can be done with overmolding.
Weight distribution and surface technologies are performance enhancing features that can make up distance that can only be acquired by strength!
While helping Steve at Quest develop his line of discs I made prototypes of overmolded screams and scream DT's in his shop that have S in the flight plate and E in the wing.\
These prototypes do not have an inner rim and the 2 polymers are bonded into the wing not the flight plate!
Ive seen a girl that could only throw 100 feet throw 250, these technologies are truly amazing, especially for players who need extra distance!

The ULR Driver is perhaps the fastest disc I have ever thrown, or at least it sure seems that way. As I was recovering from abdominal surgery last year I was looking for 150-class plastic to throw and I tried out the Odyssey driver. It has been among the longest fliers in my bag. Granted, I only throw in the 330ft range for distance because of my slower arm speed, but this disc helps maximize my range. I play a lot at a Fly-18 course with many shots over water, so the fact that it floats was also a benefit. I get some kooky looks from other players, but I don't care - it works for me!

Extremely understable disc, flies far.

you mean new technology and innovation can create discs that benefit someone other than strong-armed males? sounds like it could really enfranchise the majority of the disc golf community, help ensure the integrity of the sport, and not pander to a minority while endangering safety! very good work, you guys! i am learning more every day why the target is so big.

It's funny. The development of sports in general seem to follow the same pattern. In bowling the have changed the balls so they have a steeper angle of impact thus resulting in more strikes for the average joe. In ball golf they develop different club heads and balls so you no longer need to strike the ball squarely for it to go straight. And in disc, discs are being released that you can throw long and accurately without being a superstar. Technology is good. :D

I haven't had any luck with the drivers but the Odyssey mids are just fine. As a Fairway Driver the Blue Midrange Approach disc will flip up from Hyzer and glide forever. My main impression is that as it slows down, just when I think it is about to hit the ground it glides another 10 - 15 feet. The Control Driver is more overstable and holds a truer line. Big arms will certainly flip it, but the average player will find it to be very controlable.

Read the DR. Disc Reviews in the last DGWN for another look at these discs. BTW, the new Laser is one straight line drive machine.
