The Ventura Disc Golf Club needs your help. We are looking for artists to create a beautiful color design to be used on our 2007 Full-Color Tournament Discs. We are also looking for someone to design a clean line-art graphic to be used as our 2007 tournament logo.

We are looking for artists to utilize their playing and camping experiences at the Coyote Point Course and turn those experiences into art, utilizing whatever medium they want.

we will post the winners on our website, and the winning artists will have their art featured on our 2008 club T-shirts, Sweatshirts, and Towels.

The winners of the contest will each receive a complimentary entry into the 2007 Coyote Classic tournament, a complimentary campsite during the tournament, a 2007 Coyote Classic Sweatshirt, and a complimentary full-color tournament disc.

This years Coyote Classic will be held the weekend of October 20-21. It will be a B-tier event, and it will be part of the Steady Ed Series Presented by DGA, as well as a part of the SoCal Series.

that course looks awesome;does Southwest Airlines fly anywhere near Ventura? I still want to play some golf in CA,last time I was in Santa Cruz it rained the entire time.

You can fly into LAX or Burbank, both are about 2 hours from Ventura + or - LA traffic. The course is fantastic, some call it a smaller version of De La. We are still in need of some cool art for the Tournament...

a friend of mine is a tattoo artist,I will see what he can come up with but he will at least need an idea of what you want on the print.I dont think he plays tourneys especially out of state but I am sure you guys could work out some kind of arrangement,if he decided to do the artwork.

That would be cool. We are wide open to design ideas. The course is set in a meadow over looking a lake. The name of the course is Coyote Point. There is quite a bit of wildlife in and around the course, Tarantulas, Squirrels, Jack Rabbits, Turkey Vultures, Red Tail Hawks, Egrets, Red Racers, Rattle Snakes... So a wildlife scene would work. We have some shots of the course on our website, that may help you get an idea of how the course looks. Thanks for the help.
