G'day everyone. They finally arrived...the first ever Australian Disc Golf custom stamped discs. Only 125 total were made and only 35 are available for sale in the US. All the rest are on a Qantas jet headed Down Under along with some of the latest Twsited Flyer merch.
You can pick up your very own Australian Disc Golf stamp disc at bargain prices from the official Australian Disc Golf (ADG) US dealer...Twisted Flyer.
Go to www.twistedflyer.com (http://www.twistedflyer.com) now to order yours. Notice the very cool new website while you are there.

Thanks to Innova for thier support making these discs and for allowing us to use Innova Discatchers in Australia.

Hello,
With mixed emotions I wish to announce that as of October 28, 2007 I am retiring from the organisational side of Disc Golf. I will hang up my TD microphone, laptop and whatever else I have or had. This date marks the end of the Australian Disc Golf Championships.
I will also miss the 2007 Australian Disc Golf Championships in Sydney for which unfortunately due to work obligations I wont be able to travel to. I hope the event is a success after much time put into consulting on the event from the other side of the country. Good luck guys.
I will also resign my position as President of Australian Disc Golf as of this date. Since being voted in as President in February this year I think we have achieved a great deal and things are on a good path for the future of the sport in Australia. It is now time for others to step up and further the promotion of the sport in Australia. Whether its on a national or local level its important that people dont leave it all to others. The ADG Board of Directors over the last twelve months have achieved a lot and this must be kept going if people want to continue what has been started. Things wont improve unless people chip in and do there bit.
After almost 23 years in the sport at some level in different parts of the world I have had a good run. I wont say I did everything I set out to do but it certainly has been fun, and playing Disc Golf all over the World was an incredible experience.
Making a living and having fun doing what I did with the Texas 10 Charity Tour, 24 Hour Charity Marathons and the Tour de Disc Golf was amazing, and I want to thank everyone that was a part of it and helped and shared in my vision. Who would ever have thought from the way it all started it would have become what it did.
I am very proud of my work and the success of donations to the Lance Armstrong Foundation. In my many meetings and chance conversations with cancer survivors during time spent with the LAF not only did it inspire me more to help, but also confirmed in the fact that we did make a difference. I still wear my yellow wristband, and everyday look at it and remember those fun times, sad times and the proud moments of everything we as Disc Golfers achieved. LIVEStrong.
After almost 9 years in the USA I returned home to Australia last November. I have enjoyed my time at home, watching the cricket and footy regularly, eating shrimp on the barbie and learning how to speak properly again.
My travelling days are not over, and never will be. After over 40 countries I still have plenty to see. I will still have a Frisbee in my luggage somewhere for those impromptu freestyle jam sessions and those tacky tourist photos. I have always regretted never throwing that disc over the Berlin Wall in 1988 when I had the chance (that East German guard pointing a gun at me was the only deterrent), but have my sights on other fun things to throw over in the future.
My new career here has afforded me the luxury of time to do something I have always wanted to do. With my experience in event directing and management I have been working on the side for a local golf club consulting on their event promotions. I have met all sorts of people and contacts in the sport of golf and in the meantime been playing as much as possible. I have recently employed a personal coach to make sure I continue dropping my golf handicap. If things go to plan within 2 to 3 years I will be able to tour here in Australia and in Asia. Amazingly these golf people like my ideas in event management. If I can play my way around while consulting on the some events I will be a very happy person. I am also working on an Australian and Asian golf version of my 24 Hour Charity Marathon.
I have made lifelong friends the world over through Disc Golf and the travel it has afforded me and will always remember the people, the fun times, and the experiences shared. This is not a good bye letter just a retirement letter. Every now and then I may pop up on a Disc Golf course somewhere for a throw.
Thanks again everyone.
Yours in Flight,
Chris Himing

Chris, I remember you showing up for the VPO right after you came to the states and you were touring around meeting and making friends in '92 I believe it was. Your smile and personallity were easy to like. I was very impressed, as was everyone, with the heights you took the sport to over the years. It will be difficult for anyone to duplicate. You are remembered fondly here in Texas my friend. Good luck to you.

I have been going through my disc collection and am thinking about putting together something like 1 of every Texas 10 disc ever made sort of package. I do know that I only bought back with me at most 2 or 3 of each disc so if I make a full set it will be the only one I know of except the 1 set I will keep for a wall on my new house someday soon.
I will also see if I have a spare full set of ALL other discs I ever had made including the 24 Hour Marathons, Tour de Disc Golf, Hooters and a few other one off events.
Is there any interest is this one time only package offer?
Thanks

Will work on it all this week guys. I just had a poke through a few boxes and found some sweet discs.
On top of all the Texas 10, Marathon's, TdeDG discs I found a mint 175 1st run CE Valk, the original hemp disc, a spare Robin Williams autographed disc, a 1995 Australian Championships viper and even an Inncolor or two that were test runs and never actually made.
I also have a decent quantity of Texas 10 hats which I will list and sell cheap for anyone that buys the rest.
Just in case anyone is wondering this is not a fire sale and I will be keeping at least one of each for myself to hang but I will be using this money to have my 5 Lance Armstrong autographed jerseys framed. Time to show them off.
More later.
Thanks

The deal will be an all or nothing one. I will not be breaking up the discs. One lucky person will get the lot (over 125 discs) for a good price. What they do with them after that is there deal. I know that some will fetch great money on eBay but I don't have the time or patience to deal with that.
