It's been sweet to read the big D and best putter threads so I thought I'd throw this one out there. Best comeback at a big tourney? Final round, final 9, whatever. And say that winning is a plus but not necessary (like Randolph's final 9 at Port Arthur, not that I had even heard of disc golf by then :)) You hear a lot about Sprague's MSDGC win, which was crazy but was largely due to Barry's meltdown as well. Anyway, let's hear 'em!

I came back from 7 down against Coda to win at the Duncan Hillclimber.
Then about 6 months later he returned the favor
Coda beat me after I had him by 7 going into the last round at the Stillwater classic. He shoots 41, I shoot 49
Seems like an even trade :D

It was pretty gutsy for John E. McCray to still shoot a 54 in the semifinals after taking par+4 on the first two holes in the Pro Worlds last year for being late. He missed the Finals as a result. Knock 8-10 shots off his score and look where he would have been:

Megan Stroh at 2005 Am Worlds in the Advanced Women's division. 8 strokes out of 4th going into the semi-final round of 18 on Saturday morning, she makes the charge and forces the tie, and then wins the playoff on the 1st hole to get into the Final-9.
She was 16 at the time.

in this years virginia team invitational (match play) mark boyce was 4 holes down to his opponent joe pelchat with 5 to play- he won the first 4 to tie it up, then aced the final hole for the win. pelchat was sitting in the parking lot talking to himself for a LONG time.

In the 2005 Lakefront open, Jerry Harmon was down 9 to Billy Crump going to last round and birdied the last hole to tie and then aced the first hole of the playoff.
That's the one that stands out to me the most.

At the 2003 DGLO, I shot a last round 13 down 59 to jump from the 30's into a tie for 4th. Barry Schultz had the only other 59 that weekend. I was dancin' all day!

Some of these are career highlights for me - and make me chuckle whenever I hear someone claim you can't have fun if you're not winning,
Here's a fun one - 1992 Supertour in Atlanta at Redan Park. I was in the middle of the 3rd group (like 12th or 13th place) going into the last round and shot like -11. It was pretty windy that afternoon, and the next best score was Climo at like -5. I jumped from the 3rd group to second place. The whole 2nd group ( and most of the first) were just shakin their heads :)
Had a similar one at the Florida Triple Crown one year bumping from the third group to 3rd place on about 1400mg of ibu cuz I couldn't bend over to pick up a disc!

Chris still played near perfect the last 7 or so holes while Barry blew up. His approach shot on #16 might be the greatest shot I've ever seen.

I believe Joe Kloster holds the record for biggest choke in a tournament.
Going into the last hole with a 6 stroke lead, he takes a 9 on a 390ft slightly uphill shot with OB right.
Sean Murphy pures the hole for a difficult 2.
This happened at Heritage Park near Des Moines in the late 90's can't tell you much more, but if that isn't the biggest come from behind I don't know what is.
